I'm done with Colangelo now. I gave him a chance, against my best instincts.

It's not just BC... this whole management team and ownership group needs to go. The medical staff needs to go. The strength and conditioning guys need to go. I want to say the coaching staff too but they've been pretty good this year. I just feel like the whole team needs a complete cleansing except for the actual roster.

The social media guys are pretty funny. They can stay too.

Integrity... BC said Embiid was ok while it turned out to be a meniscus tear. He said they want to play Biid and Simmons together for evaluation while it turned out that Simmons will miss the whole season...
Anyways, I am totally fine if we seat them both for the one last tank. But would JC and BC please don't pretend they are basketball guys and bring something difference to the Sixers than Hinkie.

Simmons missing the seasons is what everyone thinks now, but it's not what they have come out and said... That's part of the problem...

DRAIN THE SWAMP!! Shoot everything left that is slimy, wiggling and wearing a suit.

Wait who said Simmons is missing the entire season? No one confirmed that. Calm down . We need to be focused on long term. We have Jah on a rookie deal for 2 1/2 more. Noel will be a overpriced back up center here and has the most value for us right now it makes sense to move him. Hes a starter in this league.

I do kinda love that behind closed doors hes probably saying to his people "what do they want from me? I'm the freaking GM, I can't just tell them who Im trying to trade this guy to..." where his people then respond with "well that's what the last guy said and you saw how he was treated." Give Sonny boy some perspective here on just what he signed up for.

“Some of the guys on the training staff told me that if I was up to it, I could return to the team today and play in Boston,” the second-year center said Wednesday.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/sixers/Sixers-Okafor-on-being-traded-I-thought-it-would-be-a-good-chance.html

Okafor sits out, doesn't even travel and then has training staff tell him he can rejoin the team? Noel lit into BC as not talking to him before when there was the Noel speculation, but this is beyond what I would expect.

The Colangelo problem is real and big if this is true.

Let's keep encouraging dissent for Colangelo. We need to generate momentum with the public if we want any chance of him being fired.

I agree, Colangelo is a sniveling spineless little man who needs to be removed from the equation. My stance on Harris hasn't changed either. I don't like nor do I trust his motives.
I really really really miss Pat Croce.

Preach. Keep the players and the coaches....everyone else can gtfo.

I'm actually less concerned with BC being a lying, snivelling weasel than I am about the seemingly incompetent staff managing the rehab of our players.

The medical/training staff issue is a real concern. From the early Hinkie days, we were told that the organization would provide a state of the art training facility and staff that would be a competitive advantage and the envy of the NBA. On the face of it, some things have gone well (Noel fully recovered, Embiid has put the navicular issue behind him) but Wroten, Jah, Simmons, Bayless... those situations have gone poorly. It appears to be more than a communication problem and it does predate Colangelo but Brian is here to fix problems. For now, this continues to be another area where he is falling short.

We need to beat the drum and bring pressure down on Brian. This is the conspiracy and we want you!

I wish my technical abilities allowed me to post an Uncle Sam (Hinkie) poster declaring, "Uncle Sam wants YOU to call out Brian Colangelo!"

Ehhh, he's not getting fired and shouldn't be. The Okafor situation has been frustrating, and the Embiid injury wasn't handled right, but the good moves he's made need to be considered. He had a really good draft, made a nice trade for Ersan and a 1st, and the team is actually getting respect. While I would rather have Hinkie, I dont think BC has done anything worth being fired over.

Oh he absolutely isn't getting fired yet, I agree. And I would be frightened as heck as who else comes in as the thought process that found Colangelo as the only guy qualified might still be around. Still since there seems such a loud sense of fire him, I wanted to post a sign in on that topic and see how widespread it really is.

Moves he's made? His value was supposed to be in bringing in free agents and agent contacts that Hinkie couldn't and he brought in Bayless (a terrible contract for a guy that shot way above expectation last season and was far from the best fit with Simmons among players available), Rodriguez (meh), and Henderson (who has been fine but certainly isn't something special that Hinkie couldn't have done). The Ersan trade was good value but I'm going to save the praise until I see whether he moves him at the deadline (it's terrible if he doesn't).

His draft was alright. He doesn't get any credit for the Simmons pick - everyone in the league is making that. The Luwawu pick was certainly very good (I had him as second best player available after McCaw). The Korkmaz pick was alright (had him as probably top 5 best available).

However, he gets an F for not handling the Okafor/Noel situation over the summer (aka not trading Okafor for whatever he could get over the summer), and another F for how he's handled Okafor over the last week.

He gets an F for more or less lying about the Embiid and Simmons injury situations and then throwing Embiid under the bus for dancing at the concert.

He gets an F for not communicating with Noel and even letting the situation get to that point (again by not trading Okafor sooner).

He's jeopardizing the relationships with our best players (Embiid, Simmons, Noel).

I actually had respect for Colangelo for his draft but that respect is completely gone after the events of the last few months (especially the last week). I was legitimately excited to listen to Hinkie on the rare occasions he decided to speak and I couldn't be bothered to listen to anything Colangelo "says" - he's just a politician.

Ownership and Management has been deceitful to the fans for yours. I feel like they are the ones that allow any fruadulance to go on that is unless the Commish gets involved.

You know we've reached critical mass when even John Smallwood agrees with us

I'm willing to give him until the trade deadline before really assessing this.

I've never seen someone be put in such a strong situation with future assets and spend so much time complaining about how his predecessor left him some messes to clean up. Newsflash Bryan, if the team was perfect the previous guy wouldn't have gotten canned and you wouldn't have this job. It's supposed to be hard.
