+NY getting CHA's 2017 1st lotto protected in 2017 and 2018, top10 protected in 2019 and 2020, becomes two 2nd rounders if not in 2021 and 2022 and NOLA's 2017 1st top3 protected in 2017 and 2018, unprotected in 2019.
Why for Cleveland?
Love is younger than Melo but his health bill could be even worse, back and knee problems, who knows how healthy he might be in the PO and how much you'd need to push Kyrie and LeBron during the RS, makes sense with the current conditions, Holiday is more versatile than Liggins and a better shooter.
Why for NOLA?
They dump their worst contracts at the expense of a high pick in a loaded draft but get Love in return, they are desperate enough to do that and likely whoever they draft might not be good until Davis is getting old, I wouldn't do it If I were them even with the dumping but they might, losing Moore is a side cost, he is good but not gonna be a factor, Lance could help them too when they go small.
Why for Charlotte?
Out of the Playoffs and season going sideways they are locked into this team and it isn't working, coach has never liked Lamb and Sessions is injured, Lee isnt a PG but they can be creative with him and Belinelli, losing a 1st if it isnt a lotto pick it's not a big deal for them.
Why for NY?
total rebuild, taking on Asik and Ajinça hurts, but Lamb and Moore are okay and have solid contracts and Diallo is a flyer, those 2 picks plus their own could turn everything around in 1 draft if lucky, and you probably need to tank another year at least so those contracts don't hurt as much long-term, Sessions is out this summer, they are also small enough salaries that you can stretch if you actually need to use capspace eventually.

Holy cow that's a lot of sheer and udder poo (with nasty contracts) that would be glued to the Knicks bench long term. There are so many teams bunched up in that bottom group that the Pelicans can end up with a pick that's even further away from the top pick than the Knicks. Not really worth the risk to trade what the Knicks would have to give up, take on the crap from the Pelicans just to possibly get a late lottery pick. As it is the Pelicans are 3 wins away from being the 8th seed in the West.

dakomish23 does not speak for everyone. That's a lot of garbage to ride the pine even with an unprotected pick that you have top ten protected.

Looks for his own shot too much and he's not that great of a defender. Essentially he's the kinda guy that will always be a big stats bad/mediocre team guy unless he gets out of his bad habits. Problem is the Pistons don't have that alpha offensively that will get him to give up the ball and be more efficient.

I saw that, but even then it would give me pause. That's not the greatest deal without knowing where the pick is.
Ibaka just went for a low first and a role player and he's unrestricted this year. Melo has two more years on his deal and he's a better player overall. It's reasonable to command at least two picks. If the offer is those players and the better of the two firsts plus a top 3 protected first on top, that's an offer to consider imo.
