1) The Pelicans want an offensive big man but news is out that their attempts at acquiring Okafor have fallen through. What could we get from them for Vuc? They were offering a draft pick before. Could we send Vuc + Clippers pick for their 2017 first? I don't see them parting with that pick easily but more and more talk is coming of Anthony Davis growing tired of the process. They might value a player over a pic right now if it means they keep Davis.

2) Andre Drummond is on the trade market. Would we or should we have any interest? Biz + Drummond would be hideous.

Maybe we could trade Vuc and the LAC/TOR pick for the Pelican's top 3 protected 2017 pick (2018 unprotected) and a bad contract? Then follow that up with Biyombo, Augustin and the better of the LAL/ORL 2nd for Drummond? I think that stuff sounds somewhat reasonable.

NOH only 3.5 games out of the playoffs. Give them Vuc to add more consistent scoring to pair with Holiday and Davis, and it isnt too far fetched that they could make the playoffs. Your Top-3 protected pick could be #17.

For those of you who want RJ (not saying I do), how about:
Payton + Green to Denver
Gallo to Detroit
RJ to Orlando

RJ/DJ
Fournier/Mario
Ross/Gordon
Gordon/Biz
Vuc/Zimmer

IF Orlando moved on from Elf, I like:
Barton + Arthur to Orlando
RJ to Denver
Payton + Green to Detroit

DJ/Watson
Fournier/Mario
Ross/Barton
Gordon/Arthur
Vuc/Biz/Zimmer

Helps our tank now, and adds depth to the wing position so we can focus on a PG with our 2017 1st.

I think we would have to throw in a pick at the very least. Drummond is still only 23.

I think they will ask too much for those guys. RJ won't help our tank, and I think they will want too much for Drummond. They'd want Gordon I'm sure.

So, Biyombo (or Vuc) + Payton + toronto pick for Drummond. I'd do it. Drummond is not a wet dream but at least is an all star level player.

I don't think the salaries match up but if they did 10/10 would definitely do that deal

I could see us flipping Payton/Green/two seconds for Jackson and trying to pull a Butler trade at draft offering our pick/LA pick/Gordon and whatever for Butler and going after Gallo hard in the off season.

How would a starting 5 of the following hold up in the east?

Jackson
Fournier
Butler
Gallo
Biyombo

2nd round exit, no perimeter defense.

You do know he's referring to JIMMY Butler not Caron Butler right?

Sure, still a 2nd round exit. Butler is not that good to carry a franchise, hes a second option he wont win a championship on his own. Jackson is a ball hog not effective without a ball in his hands, Gallo would be injured by the all star break and Evan is Evan, just a solid player same with Biz.

I don't know. I like Vuc but I think they are farther than him away from getting to the next step. They would need to throw in a contrast as well and depending on how productive that player is...

8 days to go and I have a feeling things haven't even begun to heat up yet. This one is going to be an exciting one.

IF rob is going to make a "big" trade it's going to have to be for a guy on a questionable contract that a team is looking to shed. We just don't have the assets to do something else.

I could see a Green for Knight or Green for Jackson deal being something he might explore. Not saying either of these are good options for us, but we clearly signed green with the intention of moving his contract and I would imagine rob is looking around...

Here's an interesting proposal: Jeff Green for Rudy Gay....who says no?

... the Celtics would need to surrender at least a first-pick for the 2018 draft to acquire a backup center to help improve their interior defense ...

I wonder if Boston could out-right absorb Biyombo's contract. A 2018 1st from the Celts is intriguing.

I'd only do it if we have a move for Fournier or Fournier goes to the bench, Ross needs PT no matter what, Id prefer to shed some salary though in a trade like that, so Biyombo, even though I think he'd fit well with that roster, and green for gay and WCS

Interesting, SAC has a shot at making playoffs, and Gay is hurt so there is a need.

We'd have to get something out of it, Both are UFAs so we aren't saving $$. I'd do it for a 2nd rounder though, or maybe we through in Zimm plus a 2nd and they add Skal or Willie?

Gay is under contract for one more year after this one.
