Is this the quietest the Rockets have been before a trade deadline?

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Wed Feb 15, 2017 2:32 am

I'm not hearing anything of substance involving the Rockets. In years past it seems like there was always something cooking in the background. Not always a major deal, but whenever trade possibilities were mentioned the Rockets seemed to be in the mix quite often.

This season I think that the team is pretty much set. I know that a lot of people want to trade Brewer, but I just don't see that happening unless there is some bigger deal out there that we don't know about.

Ibaka going off of the market pretty much kills any trade scenarios I've been hearing.

How much do we need to worry about ryan Andersons thumb?

Nuggets supposedly willing to trade Kenneth Faried.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Terrible fit for us...I get he's uptempo, but really has no fit in a Mikey d offense

I don't know where we can go or what we can do...really hoping for a nick young or Lou will trade

If Harrell can be successful in the offense then so can the Manimal. Lou and Nick are having decent seasons for a terrible season but I'd rather not have either one.

Harrell has the length of a center and can at least somewhat play that position

Faried has T. rex arms

Yup, Harrell has the same standing reach as AD. No fit for Faried

Also, Ryno practiced fully today and I would be kinda surprised if he didn't play tomorrow

Morey is a deadline guy. I bet he finds a few depth pieces at the deadline

Just wait until he pulls off the first inter-league trade and sends Tyler Ennis to China for Josh Smith

and yet Faried averages double the rebounds that Harrell does in only 3 minutes more per game and they are about even in blocks. NBA draft combine had Faried at 9'0" standing reach and Harrell at 9'1" standing reach.

Sorry you feel that way. I've watched all the Rockets games on TV this season but I haven't really gotten into this team and not sure why. Maybe it's too focused on one guy, who I'll admit I don't particularly like. Maybe I don't see them getting far in the playoffs. I hope they prove me wrong but not counting on it. But maybe it's time I stepped away from this board. 12 years is a long time.

Hey bud, I was seriously just joking! Stick around

I get not liking what your watching (I like the team now, but I can understand your feeling)

But stay man we need all kinds of opinions. I'm sorry if you didn't take my post as joking with you

one position we need to upgrade is at PG. I know Beverley the heart of the team, but quite frankly he's not that good. I do like the Lou Williams mention as maybe off the bench with EGordon. That would be a nice bench. But what do u guys think of maybe Brandon Knight? I know he's having an off year but maybe a change of scenery helps him. He's not a bad player, maybe he can lead the second unit or heck even start to help Harden with some playmaking ball handling

I think Harrell is our Kenneth Faried, but I'd like to see Lou Will off the bench. The Rockets still need a big who can rebound and defend the rim. Im not sure who they can target to fill that need anymore.

Im not sure what he'd cost, Quinn would be a nice addition as well. He is having his best season as a pro, but would he play over Harrell? I think he would in certain situations, but not replace him completely. He's still a 15 mpg guy and would become the Rockets 4th Center. A big would have to go, but who?

Rockets are trying to get Wilson Chandler. Hopefully this is the opportunity to ship Brewer and KJ out of H-Town.
