He's 20, but he sounds like a late bloomer. It's a cheesy comparison, but at first glance I can't help but wonder if he could be another 'Normal Powell' like 2nd round steal. Another comparison I guess could be made is he reminds me of when I was looking at Whitehead last year, and loved the competitiveness, rebounding, defense, etc. from the guard position. I think he's a much more fluid player with a higher ceiling than Whitehead, though. Appears to be, anyway. I'll have to watch some full games.
He is a better athlete and bigger than Whitehead though, he is old for this class, gonna be 21 as a rookie, but if the shooting is for real he is a guy to track and have in the top20 or so.
He is also a wing not a PG.
I agree, physically/athletically he's on another level to Whitehead. Whitehead is a great athlete in certain ways, but he always seemed a bit rigid. Brown is more fluid, more explosive, etc.
He probably projects more likely to be a 2 at the next level at this stage, but as I said, he seems like he might be a late bloomer - if he increases his skill level enough, he could be an effective PG, and that could really open up his potential.
He's in DX's 2018 mock and neither of nbadraft.net's... is there any chance he declares this year?
