As much as I like Warren... I would trade him for Porter.

Because Suns need a defensive SF with reliable offense.

But Wizards unfortunately for Suns also recognizes Porter's abilities and would say no.

They're looking at max money for Porter. After maxing out Beal. With Wall's supermax on the horizon. They have several bad contracts on the books - worst of all, Mahinmi's, but also Nicholson's. They need depth - they have no bench, and with Mahinmi out, very little rim protection with Gortat. They have another high-potential SF in Oubre. I could see Porter being low-key available.

Porter and Barnes are the two guys I've identified that the Suns could be targeting. Porter's situation resembles the Knight situation of two years ago. No one was talking about BK then, either.

Good post and I agree for the most part. Bledsoe is youngish and has improved as of late... but we've seen this before. He is not consistent and can easily disappear for stretches of a season. To me it is about choice.

One choice is build around Bledsoe.
One choice is to build around a top 3 guard in this years draft.

My preference is to build around a new top 3 guard. Consider that this guard class is the best in the last five years and maybe even 6 years looking forward to the 2018 draft. So gimme some Fultz, Ball or Smith.

Since we will have to "out-tank" LA and Orlando to secure one of these franchise changing guards, there is no better time to trade Bledsoe OR shut him down somehow... We. Have. To. Tank.

Bingo!!! You nailed it. One last point.

1)Boston could possibly get the first pick in the draft.

2) Boston currently fields an All-Star PG.

3) If Boston selects first or second in the draft they WILL take Ball or Fultz. Even with IT Boston, wouldn't even hesitate a second to select one of those two. It's called getting better.

4) IT (who is currently playing waaayyy better than Bledose) will be and will have to be moved.

Point is, this draft has better PGs than the Suns currently have and with the Suns record, they will most likely be available for the Suns to take. And leave no doubt....The Suns WILL take Fultz or Ball if they have a chance.

So what do you do with Bledose then?

Why would Celtics move a young PG putting up 30 and 7 a game with the skill sets perfect for today's perimeter oriented game?

He is a huge fan favourite too.... And an MVP candidate.

Why?

Thomas is a keeper.

If anything it means Celtics will look at Ball... Because Ball helps fix the short back court issue.
Also Josh Jackson would still be a consideration for their first pick... Move Jaylen Brown for abother lotteryvpick perhaps.

"Why?" you ask.

"DRPM (Defensive Real Plus Minus) among point guards on ESPN, Thomas is ranked 86th. That means he has virtually no impact on team defensive performance. That is unbelievable. He has a -4.42 for DRPM."

Why would Washington consider this? Porter is a 3 point shooting machine and leads the team in true shooting percentage at .653. That is unheard of for a small forward. Sending out our trash for other teams gems ... please.

I am not a Thomas fan myself, but he is a huge fan favorite so i don't think they will do anything, especially since Smart is such a GREAT defender he can help cover for him. Bradley is pretty good defensively as well.

Yeah porter is pretty much untouchable. Not only is he just plain good hes a great fit with beal and wall.

They are a team that might want to add to their bench and move a little money. Added bonus they seem to like trading 1st rounders to the suns. Id do tucker and barbosa for a 1st and take nicholsons contract.

Boston reported to be interested in tucker. They have a handful of future picks and some stashed euros and jame young. Lots of possibilities if boston really wants to get that done. I would expect any deal with boston to come right at the deadline since i imagine they are exploring bigger deals for guys like butler first.

I do not like it. For one Jokic there are dozens of Raduljicas.

I want a defensive force at C. I do not care if he is limited on offense, I want a big rim protector.

I'm not sure we can get that with the pick we'd get from a tucker trade.
I like zizic and wanted him to pair with dragan last summer. I think dragan and zizic would help the transition for each other. Zizic has been doing well this year too.

Anyone think Atlanta is a landing spot for Knight? Splitter and Mike Scott and hopefully future 1st (Minnesota 2018 or Cleveland 2019, maybe Brooklyn's 2nd this year) for Knight.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yep, transferred to Blatt's Euroleague team mid-season and quickly earned his minutes. Expected to go to the NBA next season.

I would prefer to get a late first round pick for Tucker and then use it with other assets on a bigger trade.

And we have Len and Williams on that role at C.

Seriously, if Bender could develop into the player he was/is supposed to be, imagine having a Bender/Cousins big duo. They would complement each other perfectly.
