Where are you seeing this (not doubting)? Wow, indeed. This is promising if Ainge truly has an eye for boogie. I do like the one part of Simmons somewhat silly hypothetical boogie scenario articles in which he guesses that Ainge/Stevens view Boogie very differently.

NO inquiring about PG13 is good for us too. Helps Bird to see the relatively limited trade opportunities out there.

Smokescreen to up the Celtics offer? Or maybe Danny and Brad decided they don't want the technical foul-suspension machine here?

I would slightly outbid the Pelicans. We can top whatever they offer easily.

What can Pelicans offer? Hield + their 1st rounder? They seriously want to pair Cousins with Davis?

Brad has all weekend to determine whether he feels Cousins is worth the headache.

I don't see any trade scenario that Indiana or Sacramento could take from New Orleans that would be better than what we could offer for George and Cousins. None of this makes sense, other than that NO guy may be FOS?

Maybe it's NO front office making Davis feel like they're trying to do something for him? I mean, what on earth could they have that would make Indy part with George??

This is crazy...What do the Pels have to offer besides AD? Hield, picks?

So...is Boogie in the market??? If so, it´s time for Ainge to try and get a deal done. I

Cousins 17/18 salary is 16.8 mill

Ab+brk17+rozier
Crowder+brk17+smart
Smart+brown+brk 17

All of these options and we would still have max cap space for Hayward.

A lot better to overpay for Cousins and sign Hayward...Than to overpay for Butler!!!

Other teams will have to pry those Brooklyn picks from Danny's cold dead hands. And some Celtics fans might be coming for him with torches and pitchforks before this is over if he doesn't put those picks on the table.

I'd be surprised if the Celtics made a deal for Cousins but if they did, it would be interesting to see if it was paired with another deal.

Acquiring Cousins for, say, one Brooklyn pick, Boston's 2018 first, the Clipper pick, a B-level asset (Rozier), a D-level asset (Mickey, Young) and filler could leave Ainge in a position where he decides to stop right there.

Thomas/Bradley-Smart/Crowder/Horford/Cousins - with Jaylen as one of the bench pieces.

Ainge could also look to make a second deal for George/Butler on top of Cousins. That would involve liquidating most of the rest of his assets, including Brown or BRK17. And either Smart, Crowder or Bradley.

There's always been talk of Danny wanting to pull off another 1-2 punch like he did with Ray and KG. This sounds exactly like what his plan would be. Cousins and George or Cousins and Butler.

I don't think any of this happens but it's interesting that a George-Butler/Cousins acquisition would make Isaiah the third best player on the team, which is about where he needs to be if you're going to win a title.
