I'm betting Sactown would want Chris
He's from there
Add in picks warren? and it should do it, unless the Celts get in a bidding war. Furthermore, I'd keep Tucker and Chandler and play Bullyball next yr.
we'd definitely be the bad boys on the block

They had a chance to have Chriss AND Boogie and they didn't take it. Doubt they've changed their mind on that front.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Regardless of what being said to the public... the Suns are a viable option for Boogie coming here and they continue to talk .. The Kings Don't want to commit that much money to one player who they're still unsure who he is.
All I know is , Booker and Chriss are the untouchables at this point from what I'm hearing.

Seriously, if Bender could develop into the player he was/is supposed to be, imagine having a Bender/Cousins big duo. They would complement each other perfectly.
Pelicans possibly having Davis AND Boogie?!
My money says that the Kings are using the Pelicans for us to up our offer. We know what McD wants to do, so there is no way that he hasnt called and talked to them about Cousins. I bet he made some kind of offer, but the Kings want more and are putting another teams name out there. There is no way the Pelicans can come close to what we can offer, i mean look at their damn roster and pick situation. Who on the Pelicans would you be grateful to have excluding Davis? Buddy?
This stuns me. Could their management really be that idiotic to only want Heild and a few future firsts that will be in the 20's?
Now I can see why McDonough won't give up on the idea of trading for him until it happens or he's traded. Unbelievable.

I agree. I think they are trying to trade him only for better players....probably they wanted a Cousins / Anthony Davis swap.
No way New Orleans does that, right? Even with injury concerns, Davis is 3 years younger than Boogie.
Plus, Cousins can (and likely would) opt out with the Pels after next year if he's not playing with AD.

I'd guess that if Cousins was traded to the Pels, more teams would be involved for sure.

I hate Cousins, but I would offer everyone excluding Bledsoe, Booker, and Chriss for him. Those 3 need to be our core going forward. They're our Nash/Joe Johnson/Marion, and Boogie would be our Amare.

You'd think Bledsoe might be too just for re-signing purposes. I can't see them being too interested in Bender though if they are high on Skal, WCS, and the Greek (who's dad kept ripping Bender on twitter and saying his son was better).
I just can't see the Kings accepting any package we could come up with since they really need bodies at the 1-3 positions (unless they think Knight and Warren are studs) and they have had lottery picks for years.
But I imagine the Suns are talking to everybody about everything at this point.
I wonder what the Kings' insider "dozencousins" is saying. I'll have to head to their forum.

I guess not surprised if the quiet word says Chriss is not being offered up.... perhaps Vlade would settle for Bender and picks.
Either way, there is a deal there somewhere that feathers McDs cap

Now cousins agent saying they talked to the kings and they are not shopping him. Who knows whats true. Would be kind of funny if a team like the suns were spreading these rumors in hopes that cousins hears them gets pissed and forces his way out.

There is no way Boogie WOULDN'T want to play with Bledsoe and Booker, and a players coach Earl Watson. If I was him (and Coach Cal) I wouldn't leave Vlade or his agent alone until they got a deal done.

If they trade him it's in July. Kings are just putting it out there right now and seeing what a bidding war will look like come this summer. Nothing like a little excitement during the deadline though.

If Boogie gets traded, he makes like $40 million less on his next contract. It's the first time that this new rule kicks in. Its some sort of high cap number for players who have been on their original teams since the beginning and meet other criteria. He is doing everything he can to submarine any trade because of the money. Believe me, Cousins does NOT want to get traded.
Here is the quote:
http://www.nba.com/article/2016/12/19/morning-tip-who-benefits-most-new-cba-players-owners-tv-revenue
Those players were eligible to get up to the max for players with less than seven years’ experience in the final year of their rookie contracts -- 25 percent of the cap. But they could also earn up to 30 percent of the cap in their new deals if they reached certain criteria while on their rookie deals: being named to the first, second or third All-NBA team twice, being voted in as a starter to the All-Star team twice or winning the NBA Most Valuable Player award once. (That’s why the DPE is better known as the “Derrick Rose Rule,” after the then-Bulls guard won the MVP award in 2011.)
The new CBA will have four designated player exceptions -- two for players still on their rookie deals, and two new ones for veterans. They will work as before: a team can now give up to four players on its roster a new six-year contract -- a five-year max extension added to the final year of their existing deals.
The idea is to give the incumbent team still more chances to keep its core group together.
The veteran DPE can be used either to give a player an extension or to re-sign him as a free agent. Players have to have been drafted by their current teams to be eligible for the extension or for the team to use the DPE to re-sign them as free agents.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion 3: About Last Knight
Ok I've done it
Combined ALL the latest rumours and of course giving the Suns our top target Cousins:
Suns get: Cousins, Casspi.
- We get the guy (most) of us believe is the franchise's next great big. Plus a semi-useful vet in Casspi.
Kings get: TBooker, EMoore, Len, Warren, Hield, PHX 2017 1st.
- Kings complete rebuild. They could probably flip Booker and Moore to contenders, accruing more young talent and our 1st round pick.
Nets get: BKnight, TEvans, NOR 2017 1st.
- as Simmons said, the Nets need to take a chance/risk on all 'use to be good' young talent. Both guys on their night can drop 18-5-5. they only get a second rounder though...
Pelicans get: BLopez, McLemore.
- I like the Davis/Lopez pairing - especially with Lopez' new 3pt range. McLemore gives them depth/youth for losing Moore/Evans/Hield.
So essentially we're sending out Knight, Len, Warren, 2017 1st - whilst keeping our core and the MIA pick.
Works in the trade machine
Chandler
Cousins
Tucker
Booker
Bledsoe
---
Chriss
Bender
DJones
Barbosa
Dudley
Ulis
Casspi
In saying all of this - couldn't Denver (with Mike Malone aka Boogie's fav coach on board) trump everyone with:
MPlumlee, Gallinari, Mudiay (or Murray), 2017 1st...?

No, Boogie's incentive to stay is he can make $40 million MORE.

Um no. Not even close. I'll pass.
Your comparing a pass first (HOF) point guard who is completely opposite player of Bledsoe. Not comparable.
I'm not keen with Pairing Boogie and Bledsoe. Their current track record of winning is not positive. Until one or the other can prove they can be winners, I'd prefer not having either. Especially not pairing them.
Don't get me wrong, I really like Boogie. Just not sure pairing with Bledsoe is smart.
On top of that, Watson is not a good coach. Let's not church it up. He is bad. Don't trust him with Boogie. Boogie has ruined coaches careers. Watson isn't the guy to buck that trend.
Lastly, $200 million is a though pill to swallow for any team. Better be sure he is the guy to lead you to a championship.
