He's not a bad player....but when you think of the Pacers saying they want help for PG....they want someone who might be a difference maker, rather than a guy whose just okay. That's no hate towards Lee....you just have to think from their POV, they'd want something to show PG should stay...bringing in Courtney Lee hardly is that.

The 18-23rd pick doesn't fetch star talent. On draft day, Thad Young was flipped for the 20th pick & Bellinelli was flipped for the 22nd. If you package Lee with Kuz and a 2017 2nd rounder for their first, that's a very serious offer

Especially because those guys fit in with the team perfectly as off ball cutters and Lee being a high level spot up shooter.

Yeah that move makes too much sense. We've seen the disaster that is a Teague/Ellis/PG trio as all 3 like the ball in their hands. Lee increased ball flow and spacing + that Indy team is lacking a real rotation off the bench.

Lee is a good fit for a lot of teams who want unselfish players, solid defense, strong spot up shooting, and a little bit of moving without the ball. For a guy that has moved around as much as he has teams tend to miss the 25 minutes he provided.

My plan right now would be to move KOQ, Jennings, Kuz, and Lee. Keep Melo until the off-season and shut him down the final 15 games.

These moves help build future assets and draft capital and put us in a better position for a top 5 pick.

Jennings and KOQ trades create burn for Baker/Willy

Kuz' barely in the rotation here, but had value across the league with his skill set. Lee is a commodity at the deadline with a bang for buck contract.

If we can recoup maybe 2 future 1st round picks out of that, that's how you build assets for the future.

Two 1st rounders? I sure hope you're right. Lee and KOQ could be valuable assets to teams trying get their rosters "over the hump." They're on reasonable contracts too.

I'm thinking maybe a high second for Jennings.

I'd like to keep Kuz. He moves well without the ball and seems to have a high BIQ.

In an ideal scenario you get a 2017 pick from the Pacers for Lee, and a 2018 or 2019 protected first from a team like the Cavs for Jennings/KOQ

Yeah but if we want to draft a PG we need't exum or rubio or reggie. We need to take a veteran this summer.

sure if if they traded for exum.... they dont need to draft a pg. they can take bpa

A trade that I think make since is...

O"quinn
Lee

for

Utah's 2017 1st
Utah's 2017 1st(GSW)
Jeff Whitey
Raul Neto

Utah is under the cap so Lee and O'quinn could just slide into the space while the knicks take back two crumbs in salary to make it work. This does add salary which will put them in the higher tax bracket when they sign Haywood this year but they can easily make room by selling off Burks and/or Favors in the off season and recoup the picks they gave up.

There's very little doubt we could get a first for Lee IMO

Wizards Could Deal First Rounder For Veteran Depth Piece
FEB 19, 2017 2:15 PM

The Washington Wizards have "shown an inclination" to trade a first round pick to acquire a veteran player that could even be a rental for their playoff push. The Wizards could even trade a pick in this year's deep draft.

Washington's front office has acknowledged they have a top-heavy roster and need depth. After a slow start to the season under Scott Brooks, the Wizards have surged in the new year.

Last February, the Wizards traded a first round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Markieff Morris

Rose + KOQ to POR for Turner, Ezeli, and 2( I'd take one though) firsts
Portland clears cap space, adds interior defense and rebounding
NY gets at least something for Rose, adds wing depth, and frees time for WHG and potentially KP to play center (Ezeli hasn't played and has a team option next year)

If Drummond is really on the market, I would throw everything I have for him. 5th year player already.. he's ONLY 23 years old as well. Have no idea why the Pistons are shopping him already.

I think both Lee and O'Quinn could each bring back a late 1st rd pick. Mid 2nds for the remainder of the guys.

Smart idea if Melo doesn't want to waive his NTC gut the roster around him.

Terrible defender, questionable motor, no real post moves, no shot, no free throw

I'll pass thanks

I wonder what it would cost to get Collison. A 2nd? A lottery ticket? Both?

I'd like him here even though he's older. Get our young bigs real PG play

Funny to see the Bulls trying to shop Mirotic. Fan base over there was expecting the next Kevin Love. They thought the beat writer for bulls.com was crazy when he said it was better to hope for Detlef Shrempf. Total bust right now.

Same with McDermott. Traded up two firsts to pick him. Picks that became Gary Harris and Josef Nukic. Also had to take on Anthony Randolph and then use a 2nd to dump him in order to make the cap work to sign Mirotic.

Hell, the only thing they've done right is get lucky with Rose and Butler, at opposite ends of the draft. And now even Butler is on the market!
