We could but most teams have less than 25 games less.

The Nets have the worst record locked down.

The Suns and Lakers are pretty bad and would have to makeup 5 and 6 games.

Orlando, us, Pels, Wolves, Knicks, Mavs, and Blazers should pass them. It's tough to see the kings getting more than two wins the rest of the way.

They should finish in the bottom 4-6 range.

Not likely . That recent Sacramento winning spurt really screwed things up.

Too far ahead of even the Lakers, like 6 games ahead of LA for that #3 slot.

Best case scenario imo Sacramento slides down from #11 to say #4 or #5 now . Takes the stress out of the Sixers going on any type of winning ways.

At that point though I guess your wishing on the lotto odds. In a way we sort of have double odds(not sure if the logic works 100%) because we have a chance at #1 and the Kings do. Either way the likeness of us getting one of the top guards/prospects increased pretty dramatically.

Our second favorite team will be whoever the Kings are playing for the rest of this year.

Even though they are in 11th lottery position right now, they are only a few games out of the top 5.

That's right. Basically add our odds to SAC's odds. At the end of the season, the combination of that will be as if we had finished 1st or 2nd worst overall, giving us a great chance for a top 3 pick.

Cousins has bad juju with him. Dont be shocked if he blows that Pelican team up.

I think Sac finishes about 4th worst. The Sixers are tough to gauge depending how often Embiid plays. Assume we end up 8th worst. That would give them about 12% and us about 3%, so about 15% chance at #1. Not overwhelming.

I'll eat crow if the Pelicans are garbage with Davis, Boogie, and Jrue. I think they are a contender next year with the right pieces.

They didn't get the 2019 pick. It said Vlade wanted it but Pels balked so kings did the deal without it. Wow

Probably Vlade but it's close. I wish we still had Hinkie to take advantage of these guys.

Because Cousins is such a headache he kills his own trade value.

Becasue Sacramento averages 25 Wins a Year since they drafted Cousins.

becasue Sacramento needs to start rebuilding.

Becasuse Cousins is a year away from free agency.

I think its the Pelicans who are going to be the ones regretting this trade in the long run.

They have been rebuilding. They are just not very good at it. Bad trades. Bad drafts. Bad free agent signings.

Cousins is a headcase but the King's problems are so much deeper.

the Kings roster now is just.....so so bad

and the difference between the 4th worst team (Orlando) and the 11th worst (Sacramento) is like 3.5 games

the Kings should easily fall back into the top 5 by the end of the season

So this trade:

1. Adds greatly to our lottery odds this year and makes it no big deal if Embiid and Simmons start playing and we keep winning.

2. At best it starts a rebuild being conducted by possibly the worst GM/owner combo in the league with us holding their unprotected 2019 pick.

3. It exponentially increases the odds that AD eventually begs out of NO at a time when we will be very asset rich.

Hinkie, you magnificent bastage!!!

how is that the best deal Sacramento was offered?

christ, Colangelo could've gotten him and kept every valuable asset on the team for arguments sake.

Imagine the dread of thinking your team is going to trade for Okafor and ending up with Cousins.
