Sac basically trade Cousins for Buddy and a mid first (after Pels get him they definately going all after that last playoff spot in western conference.)
Can't believe Vlade is stupid like a hell he should take the Lakers offer which could eventually be a double strike for us.

Yes that pick swap with them is now gold. The 2019 unprotected 1st rd pick from them, maybe even more so.

they are 3.5 games out of the 4th worst record right now.

A lot of teams could have likely offered more, I think we could have, but they accepted this because of Buddy (lol).

I can't believe that we will be able to get TWO top 5 picks for just the capspace that Hinkie traded, WOW.. just WOW!

I don't think there are two people who evaluate talent more differently than me and Ranadive.

Stauskas? Hield? Really?

I wish they would have done this before they went on this random, stupid winning streak.

Yeah theyre schedule looks pretty dang easy the rest of the way too.
14 home games to only 11 road games.
5 games left vs the east, only Washington is a playoff team.
2 games vs Phoenix left
2 games vs Minnesota left
1 game vs La Lakers left
1 game vs Dallas left

Granted this team may not be better than the Nets talent wise at this point, but some young guys playing hard might get them some unneccessary wins that we dont want.

At least they likely won't be favored anymore though. Even at home against Phoenix or Lakers will be tough for them.

Jah for WCS or Skal plus Malachi Richardson (we love injured guys), plus if NOP needs any help we can cheaply provide, please send it. Weaken that NOP pick.

I am happy we didn't do that trade with the Pelicans. It's much better long and even short term for us that Sacramento are bad... very bad... and if we had done that Okafor deal this never would have happened.

Suddenly we could be looking at swapping with Sacramento for a top 5 pick this year... hopefully meaning any thoughts by the FO of tanking and resting Embiid and Simmons goes out the door. Also that Sacramento 1st rounder in 2019 we owned is now very juicy.

We will still get something for Okafor... but it will pale compared to what we will get for Sacramento being so bad now.

I guess Tyreke, lotto protected first, and a 2017 second is plausible. Demps has made some bad trades in his day.

We ultimately win the trade more by not making it, tho.

Who knows what rumor is true. Heard 10 different things tonight regarding what the Sixers and Pels couldn't get done. Ultimately, this is for the best, we could get #1 out of it.

Now we wait... I don't think Okafor gets dealt, but if they can find a nice deal for him it would top off an amazing week coming off that terrible one.

After the Cousins to NO deal I can see a few contenders in the West looking at Noel , Oak should unpack his bags.

I'd bet a million dollars against that happening. Hield has been one of the worst players in the NBA this season. Sacramento becomes considerably worse after this trade. Just sucks that they have a cake walk the rest of the way. Then again they're only 5 games ahead of the Lakers, and many of the lotto teams are still fighting for a playoff spot. Colangelo needs to get Vivek on the phone immediately and work out a deal to send them Okafor.

Except that they're now in prospect/pick acquiring mode. They have literally almost nothing worth offering that we would want. The only thing they might even have a glimpse of is big men, so I can't see why they would even consider a deal for Okafor.
