Picking an All-Time NBA Team..

Post#1 » by blueadams » Mon Feb 20, 2017 4:18 am

For those of you that know me.. you know that this is a topic that I've been enamored with over the past several years.

Most recently.. I'd settled on a lineup of PG: M. Jordan, SG: K. Bryant, SF: L. James, PF: H. Olajuwon, C: K. A-Jabbar. The synopsis of the argument being.. in MJ, Kobe, LeBron.. you've got great size and athleticism, terrific defense, adequate 3-pt shooting, and -- obviously -- excellent all-around scorers. In Hakeem and Kareem, you've got excellent post defenders (and a 4 athletic enough to guard stretch-4's), two of the best post scorers of all-time, and adequate FT shooters.

More recently.. I've been thinking more with my gut, and less logically..

C: Hakeem
PF: Bill Russell
SF: Bird
SG: MJ
PG: Zeke

...you've got a small point guard who isn't a great outside shooter. you've got a 3 who isn't that athletic. you've got a 4 who's a bad ft shooter, and who really doesn't have a great offensive game. but you've got probably the most competitive group of hall of famers that could possibly be assembled. and I like that over anything else.

Surely this is spam?

In the limited time I have been back on Real GM this dude has posted this exact topic 3 different times!

Once is fine, twice you might get away with cause you've changed your team (though you should bump the old thread) but 3 times?

Why?
