Yeah, I really like the guys we have and the direction we're headed. Hopefully we can move Knight and/or PJ for a 1st.

He might hold some value to some teams, but lets be real, The Kings already have Lawson and Collison at the PG spot, the last thing they need is a $14M a year 3rd stringer. They just didnt want to be saddled with paying an extra $14M a season for the next 3 years to a player that they really dont want or have a need for.

I'd take Knight if it came with a top 3 pick in a strong draft, TJ Warren and Len lol

Yeah, Knight's inclusion shouldn't matter for the Kings. They don't have a long term solution at either guard spot on the roster right now and they are not gonna attract any free agents anytime soon. Knight is a wild card. Hield is only 2 years younger than Knight and he friggin sucks.

Ray-Ray was/is 100% right. He was right with our offer and right that they didnt want to trade with us even though our deal was better. As i stated before, i know we were trying to deal with them for Cousins, and the Pelicans "Rumor" at the time was put out there for us to sweeten the deal. After going back and forth with the Suns FO, they told McD that they have a better deal on the table and for the Suns to make their best and final offer, and McD stood pat. McD knows that we would have had a great chance at re-signing Cousins due to his relationship with Bledsoe, but that still was no guarantee. He also had to factor in how pissed Cousins would be, not only with the Kings, but the team trading for him, knowing they helped in him essentially losing $40M. Thats why McD didnt sweeten the offer by replacing Knight in the deal with another player. Vlad was pissed and pretty much said "Screw you" to the Suns by accepting a much inferior offer. Maybe they still hold some hostility to McD for him swiping Chriss out from them in that horrible horrible deal.

I mean we all know our pick will be more valuable, thats a given. Warren >>>> Hield. Len >>>>>> Galloway. The only downside was Knight and his contract, so i could see in the Kings eyes Evans >>>>>>>>>> Knight.

As for the tweet about how they look at Hield as a top 5 pick player, and a #10 pick (Pelicans), LMAO. Do they seriously think that pairing up two of the most dominant all-star bigs in their prime will net them a top 10 pick???? Hell they have the #9 pick right now, and that was just with Davis! Losing Hield/Evans/Galloway and adding Cousins/Casspi isnt going to lose them more games, they will be winning games, and i fail to see how the Pelicans dont end up in the playoffs, and how the Kings dont end up with a #16-20 pick after all of this.

So in short, even though i am high (Super high) on Cousins and would have loved him on the Suns, we might have done the right thing. And another good thing to come out of all of this is that FINALLY Pelifan might have some more boardsman to talk with in his game threads!

If that's the case McD should be fired.

Agreed. And I like McD.

We don't know what Hield will become. I certainly didn't want to draft him, but it's too early to evaluate. I'm still happy we didn't deplete our assets for him.

Thinking Knight and PJ for a first is going to be a tough nut to crack..near impossible salary match. PJ and Barbosa more feasible for sure...Rockets or Wizards might agree.

Nah its not McD's fault. Anyone who can spell "basketball" knows that our deal for Cousins was a much better offer than the Pelicans, and we know for a fact that we were interested in Cousins.

This wasnt a basketball move by Vivek and Vlade. This was a personal, conceited move that was about giving the Suns the middle finger after killing them in the IT/Oriaki and Chriss/#13 trade.

Extremely petty move by a pathetically operated franchise.

I disagree. I think Sac is just that incompetent. They love Hield and him being in was the difference. They are just using Knight as an excuse. There's no way Phoenix would have refused to remove him from it.

I didn't mean them together, but separately. PJ to someone for a late 1st and Knight to someone in the mid-first. Not sure Knight can fetch that, but I'm confident PJ can. I just want more picks in this draft so we can get what we want.

Yup, especially considering that McD probably still likes Knight. Keeping BK in Phoenix is not the end of the world.

It'll really surprise me if either PJ and especially Knight nets the Suns a 1st round pick by themselves. Maybe if the Suns eat a real bad contract coming back. Hope I'm wrong.

Missed out on Harden because of a weak offer
Missed out on Cousins because of Knight and Buddy Hield

Following this franchise continues to be a soul crushing experience

Damn i really feel for Kings fans. They have to feel like they've been kicked in the nuts over and over and over and over again. I would be absolutely pissed if our FO traded Cousins for that, let alone after hearing there were better offers made and thats the one they decided to go with. Seriously that is gut wrenching.

Feelsbadman.

I could see Golden State trying to grab PJ for their 1st given that he's a fairly good history defending against Cousins and Davis. I still think Knight is in about the same spot as Kieff last year, and we found a taker. Atlanta makes some sense (if they want to make a push), I'm sure there are others who need guard scoring.

The only thing worse than being a Suns fan is being a Kings fan. Divac and Vivek need to go.
