if evans gets bought out he's going to the cavs
you could end up with a scenario where evans goes to the cavs, ibaka to the raptors, jimmy butler to the celtics, and a pick for lou williams to the wiz
look I want to compete but you gotta know when to fold em, str8 up

is that enough? it looks pretty good, i would still want to go pick up a shooter. Terrence jones is straight garbage by the way.
A lights-out scorer on the second unit would be good... But who needs scoring when you have a defensive bench unit like that :|
maybe they can sign Tyreke straight up, then trade for a scoring PF, not named Terrence Jones. maybe a wing that can play stretch 4 idk.
one thing is forsure: they need to go get Tyreke is he's available
Jones is not that bad, he is a solid enough rebounder and a solid enough scorer, and he won't kill your team on defence, he is 1000 times more mobile than Nicholson and he will not break the bank to keep if you want to. I could live with a Burke and thronton for Jones and cunningham swap.

Why is everyone so negative and saying Oh he will go to the cavs. You do realize we have one of the best starting 5's in the league, on of the best PG's in the league, too. and we can offer him more money than almost every one else in the playoff hunt for the conference finals. The cavs can't give him more than min, we can give him the full room and a player option for next year which he might want considering his injury history. We are also contenders. So, don't be so glum thinking he is going to jump right on the cav's dick.

I actually wouldn't even be shocked if Wade goes to the Cavs by being bought out. I think it's almost certain the Celtics deal one of the Nets picks to get Butler and if that happens Wade will be an absolute crybaby to deal with for a tanking Chicago team. Honestly better to just cut him in that scenario so he's happy.

The Wizards would not pay Reke any kind of a long term deal.
It's just reality. The wiz are playing good at the moment but that's not evidence of sustained success. If you're Reke you go enjoy a winning environment and maybe get a chip and then take a short contract for someone like Philly next season to try to repair your rep/value.

OMG can you imagine Wade playing on a min deal for a half a year LOLOL.
I was thinking
Pondexter, jones, and Dialo for burke, thornton, house. Stright up
We cut poundexter and make room to sign Evans if he is bought out. and we get a 25 year old decent bench guy in jones and a young prospect in Diallo
and they balance our that team with two guards and a wing player.
Evans and jones would be massive bench upgrades, I like Diallo and we loose burke.
the pells need guard bodies and wing bodies badly.

or you simply take the better deal (wizards room exception) maybe sign for multiple years

That makes NO SENSE TO ME. Again the wiz would absolutely floate him a 2 year room offer, Evans at 3 mill a year come on! give him a player option next year to think about with his injury history and he can stay and rehab his rep here on a good winning team with a really good starting 5 and a young core. Makes sense for everyone involved. over taking pennies to play for the cavs. He will get his buy out money and a full years pay for have a years play from us, with an option to stay. thats a lot more money than the cavs can give him.

there are legitimately teams that need to meet the salary floor that would probably pay Reke
I just don't see us being the team that offers him the most

its the combination of a winning team and a good offer in terms of money. what true contender can offer him 3 million and a multi year deal?

Re: Official Trade Thread - Part XXXII
If Tyreke is smart, he'll cometh to the Wizards as there's no better place to showcase than on a shallow team with playoff potential.
Obviously there are higher pedigree teams with shinier epaulettes on their shoulders, but all he has to do here is beat out Satoransky and Burke and he's almost guaranteed 22+ minutes with a chance at being a Playoff Hero. On the Cavs he might only get 10-12 minutes once Jr Smith is back.
A lowball offer for Collison also beckons. They might even do Collison for Sato and a 2nd or something like that given that they need young players more than anything. Plus, who knows what they're thinking after the Cousin's Trade - they could save a little money and further fortify their tank.
The Terrance Jones for 'meh' sound interesting too (especially if we don't get Tyreke but deal a front court guy like Smith for a guard).

Looks like a terrible deal on the surface, but I like Buddy Hield, I think he can be a stud.
Where the Kings **** is how long they've let this situation linger and what really screwed them in the end is the designated max.
Extending him under the old parameters might have made sense, but when you're committing more than $40 million dollars a year to a single player there shouldn't be any question about whether the player is worth the commitment.
In the end it's obvious the Kings traded Cousins a full two years too late and now they've had no choice but to dump him for pennies on the dollar.
People bring up Boston, but it doesn't really make sense for them to trade a lottery pick when they could conceivably sign him outright.
The market for Cousins dried up and the Kings have nobody to blame but themselves.

Why would Tyreke Evans accept any multi-year deal for $3 million? In this market? That's not going to happen. If Evan Turner can get $18 mil ... Tyreke, bad knees and all can get at least half of that on a 2 or 3 year deal. Someone will take a shot if he can pass a physical. It makes zero sense to lock himself into a bargain basement deal beyond this season. A good run with a playoff team would do wonders for his value.
No matter what will likely be a 3 month rental, nothing more. He's a ball dominant wing who is not known as a spot up shooter so certain places like Cleveland and Washington aren't really great fits for him. The Clips need help at SF. They seem like a natural fit. OKC could use a SF. Stylistically he could work well in Boston. I'd also look to see what connections he has to other coaches around the league. Players usually want to have a comfort level with the system in place and that they'll get a fair opportunity to play decent minutes.

I think Hield is a bust for where he was drafted, lol. He's older than Bradley Beal and is one of the worst players in the league this year. He'll stick around as a role player but I don't see him standing out among the 7 other SGs they have on their roster.
To me Sacramento needs to overhaul their scouting. If they had Hield as a top 5 prospect as has been mentioned they are clueless. It sounds like they got laser focused on two guys. Ingram and Hield... and neither guy has really looked good thus far. I think Ingram may be okay in time but I don't see stardom there. I think the Lakers should have made that deal. Same with Orlando. I do believe many teams weren't considering him because of his reputation. However the Kings could have definitely done better. I don't believe the Wizards had any interest... they weren't about to take any gambles with things going so well. Ernie is fairly risk adverse which is why he sells picks like candy and avoids free agency for the most part. I think the whole Durant thing was honestly a ruse that Ted bought into to kick the can down the road a few years to buy additional time.

This is a great deal imo. I doubt we land a better player with our second. He had a solid season or two in Houston. Way better than Nicholson.
This + signing Tyreke would be a dream come true, we keep our pick and upgrade our bench.

You don't value shooting on the 2nd unit huh? That lineup would have a helluva time trying to score because the paint would be awfully crowded. Also I don't think Tyreke has played PG since he was originally in Sacramento. He's a little bit bigger and slower now, especially with the injuries. I don't think he can guard 1s. As I've said before I don't love the fit. We need guys that can do more than just slash, they need to be able to play off the ball as well.

Per DA (saw a video on the raps board),
Wiz interested in Wilson Chandler. We have no fillers to offer unless we unload Nicholson who has negative value. Nuggets want to make the playoffs, so don't see this deal at all.
