Kings Fans, you have to be proud of your Front Office !!!

Post#1 » by Pinoy cchio » Mon Feb 20, 2017 3:40 pm

Your front office just told the basketball world --- No single player is greater than the team !!!

No doubt Cousins, the idiot, was a very talented player......but a ton of baggage. He had not carried the team close to becoming a playoff team. Yet he had coaches fired, teammates traded.....FA stayed away from your team. In Cousins' tenure with your team.....what did this guy accomplish ?

The whole basketball community dictated Cousins' trade value ----- Not Much !!!!

No doubt he was a very talented player......but he was not a winner. Give him $209 million for what ? He had not earned to get paid that much. He was selfish.....Me Me Me and oh yes.....Me player.

Remember...your team failed to win while Cousins was on your team.

My problem is the package, Hield is 23 years old already.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

In my opinion......Kings' future will be dictated by the draft......complete rebuild. I doubt Kings' front office has Hield as the cornerstone of the team's rebuild.

The more I think about it, the more okay I am with it. Demarcus is my favorite player without a doubt, but 7 years and 6 coaches just speaks volumes. I thought things were finally coming around.

I have no choice but to give vlade a full year to evaluate the 2016 and 2017 draft talent. That will make or break vlade as a gm not this trade.

Need to start a draft prospect thread, because atleast there is some good thing, we will have two first round picks in a strong draft.

Cousins getting traded is not my issue. I would rather have kept Cousins but I had no issue trading him. The way Vlade and Vivek handled everything by saying for months and Vivek years that Cousins is our guy and we are going to build around him is the problem. We already are not well liked or respected by agents and players and then this crap happens. It's just another black eye for our organization in our constant failing of getting a decent reputation again.

The package we received back is another problem. Whether the market was cold or not this is not a package for a player like Cousins should get. Everything seemed so rushed and unplanned.

Cousins should never have gone for a Black Friday discount.

Just another day in the life of Kings fans.

If you want, start one. I can put a bunch of good stuff in it.

It's kinda disappointing how around this time of the season the kings officially give up on winning. I was hoping this year would be different. I just want a real team I don't get about a single player.

So it's Cousins fault the front office got a hamburger from McDonalds for Isiah Thomas and Hassan Whiteside?

You can't include Hassan. That's beyond reaching. But, I agree with your point.

I saw this tweet so that's why I mentioned him... The Kings have bombed so many drafts you can't blame Cousins plus
the West has been stacked during his tenure. If the Kings were in the East they probably would have made the playoffs a few
times.

There is nothing to be "proud" of. This franchise along with the Knicks is viewed as the biggest joke in the entire NBA. You have a meddlesome owner and a novice GM who has yet to make a good deal. Let's not forget Philly has the right to swap picks in June and they own the 2019 pick (unprotected) which based on this team recent history will be a top lotto pick. Unfortunately you cannot get rid of a bad owner ( I had to endure the Chris Cohan years) unless they have a Donald Sterling moment or they receive a financial offer so good they cannot turn it down. I expect the to see a ton of empty seats in the new arena which is a shame because the fans deserve better especially with how things ended with the Maloofs.

Jazz fan here.

My opinion, keep your head's up. Centering your team around Crazy-Cousins was never going to work. Hopefully your FO has learned a few lessons along the way, and will rebuild you right this time. Also, now you don't have the misfortune of having your best player be someone that appeared to detract FA's from coming. .... I mean, who would want to play with a giant volatile baby like DC?

Hield seems like a nice young player, and draft picks are nice for rebuilding (and can be traded for established players as well).

The guy I think it sucked to lose was Casspi, who I was hoping my Jazz would find a way to land for a few years now. He's no star, but a good, underrated player, IMO.

Good luck Kings fans ... rebuilding sucks, but can be the best thing. When the Jazz traded Deron Williams I had similar concerns as I hear here, but that turned out to be the best move the team has made in a long time, as now the Jazz are looking like a 3-5 seed in the West!

... and now dumping Barnes.

You see, your FO is purging you of the crazy! Great plan for starting over & getting young players in a good environment. Fingers crossed for Sac-town this is the beginning of a new, positive age for the team.

This. Now is the time where the Kings have to lay all the cards on the table. They need a full press conference with Vivek and Vlade where they answer everything out in the open. Too much chatter now, they can't hide.

Guys, trade Cousins is OK, he has a lot of problems, but you can't trade a top 15 for that package!
