Post#1 » by JetLife » Mon Feb 20, 2017 2:19 am

Just want to pick you guys brain on this. We'd probably lose Sam or Ariza plus Capela but we need Big Cuz

Ryan Anderson + Dekker + first rounder? Cousins makes $17m so it would be difficult to match salaries with Ariza being the largest earner on the Rockets side.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I just don't see how this could happen.

But I'm going to get some popcorn and get ready to watch the show!

Rockets could've beaten that offer if they wanted to. Probably scared off by attitude problems. Sucks that the Rockets play them 3 more times including Thursday

Am I the only one who thinks the Celtics missed on a great opportunity? Looks like they could've landed Cousins with enough assets left to still get Bulter.
Clippers pick, Celtics pick, Grizzlies pick(if necessary), Zeller, filler for Cousins.
Brooklyn 2017 pick, Jayln Brown, 2019 Pistons 2nd, Olynyk(or to 3rd team for asset) for Butler.

Thomas/Smart
Bradley
Butler/Crowder
Hortford/Jerebko
Cousins

This team couldve beat the Cavs imo. And they still wouldve had the Nets 2018 pick.

I thought that the Celtics should have been able to blow that Pelicans off out of the water.

I'm assuming that they took seriously Cousins' threat not to sign an extension with any team who traded for him. Either that or Ainge is stingy to a fault when it comes to his draft picks.

And I wouldn't want to have that toxic environment around my very young team.

bad news for rockets. this means tim frazier will get more playing time and the rockets won't be able to get him.

I get what your saying, but the same could've been said about Vernon Maxwell. We still love him in Houston and he completely quit on the team during the play-offs. The Rockets also took a chance on crazy ass Ron Artest and had their best season since the Dream era, taking the eventual champion Lakers to 7 games without Yao and Tmac. Cousins is far better and younger than those 2 headache's. The Celtics wouldve been stacked and on the same talent level as the Cavs and Warriors. Matchup wise, I think both the Warriors and Cavs would have trouble with Hortford and Cousins size inside.

if we had another kentucky ex on the team , then maybe he wouldn't be toxic, but i still wouldnt take a chance on him the way he is now.

Ok I hate even thinking this, but what is Matt Barnes contract?

Dumping kj a first and maybe ennis? And getting lou will and signing Matt Barnes after he's released wouldn't be the worst team in the world (plus I kinda want to keep Brewer)

Harden/bev/ariza/Anderson/capela
Gordon/lou Willy/Brewer/matt Barnes/dekker/nene/Harrell

I mean I hate Matt, but even without trading for lou Willy dumping kj for him is an upgrade for the playoffs
