Agreed, I see no reason why we need to give up any 1st at this point. Collison can be had for Burke and a 2nd, Evans and/or Galloway will be waived, and I assume at least one other legit Guard will be waived over the next few days

Good point, if you can get Collison for a 2nd or Evans off of waivers, you'd rather do that. Obviously

Well Collison is an impending FA... so of course it shouldn't take a 1st to get him.

I'd be ok with Galloway... nearly anyone is an upgrade over Burke (with the exception of Brandon Knight).

By the way, Lou Will has a slightly higher AST% over Collison. 22.8% to 22.4%. Collison has the slightly better DRPM but both are bad. -1.87 to -2.07.

I honestly think we have the best chance at getting Collison. The only other team coming to mind that is desperate for a backup pg is Charlotte and Portland, and they don't have the salary to match for Collison without Sacramento taking on salary past this season.

Burke+Thornton works for Collison

Why would the Kings do that?

You throw in a 2nd rounder in this years draft.

throw in the 2nd rounder, seems like a no brainer to me? haven't heard a single rumor that ernie is interested in Collison though

That's fine, but ultimately I think we'll have to give up the late first to get a better player. I agree that I wouldn't give a first for Collison and would give up a first for Lou if they take a bad contract like Nicholson.

Vivek Ranadive Believes Buddy Hield Has 'Steph Curry Potential'

Hey Vivek, the Wizards have a guy with Chris Paul potential. His name is Trey Burke. We've already got John Wall so we'll do you a solid and trade him to you for Willie Cauley Stein and all of your draft picks.

Thornton also averaged 20 points per game as king, just needs that Sacramento environment!

I'll say! What am I missing?

Nicholson doesn't play & is inked for 3 more years. Williams wouldn't have to enter a single game for that trade to be worth it!

But you may mean with us also giving a R1 pick; if so, no thanks.

Y'all can dream on about teams taking on Burke, Nicholson, Thornton, and Smith but you're trading trash for an asset unless you take a bad contract back. If we get a decent player to help the bench, it's Grunfeld so we're going to trade a first in 2017 or 2018. You're not giving up a late second to get anything of value.

well, burke and thornton are not bad contracts, they are expiring contracts and collison is not getting a 1st round pick from anyone lol.

Looks like these options aren't going to be there:

Read on Twitter

Kings GM Vlade Divac said that the Kings currently do not have any plans to release Langston Galloway or Tyreke Evans.
An earlier report by Adrian Wojnarowski of the Verticle stated that the Kings intended to waive Galloway, but Divac is apparently deviating from that standpoint, although he did leave the door open by saying "at least for now." Galloway is in an overly crowded backcourt in Sacramento, so if he does stay with the team, it's unlikely he'll have much value.

I know he's bad but playing with John Wall can do wonders for guys. He is shooting a respectable 37% from 3 point range. No, I would not give up a first for him, not in 2017,18, 19, 20...
