Doug brought up Leaf and Fox as potential draft targets. I'd love a Fox/Leaf draft. Vlade said "where do I sign".

What is this Leaf guy? Guard, Forward haven't done research on him, but I really like Fox.

Listening to the radio show interview right now. He clarified that there were talks involving a better deal but they fell through.

PF out of UCLA in the mold of Love/Randolph or another super skilled offensive forward. He'd be perfect for Joergers system and fits the mold of what Vlade is looking for. Has to get stronger but might have ability to play some SF.

k but if your in California anywhere, you have access to the beaches. Certain people can live in the middle of the USA without access to the beach, but me if I were to move, I have to have access to the beach so If I was a professional athlete one of the california teams is an option, along with the Magic, Heat and factoring in weather too.

Yep. I also think that Vlade didn't want ownership changing its mind, again, and further undermining his position. As far as the overall trade, it's not good, but it's not as bad as some are making it out to be.

A player I mentioned quit a while back Kings were interested in . Kings are close to acquiring via trade .

I feel a little better after heading Vlade speak. He made it pretty clear he wants the young guys to play because that's the only way they can develop and he was going to talk to coach Joerger. As long as they go all in with a direction I'm cool. That middle of the road Maloof era crap was unbearable and I don't think I'd be able to stick it through that again.

Is anyone believing that this will be a new era of Kings basketball, one that is positive, joyous, and full of promise like 1140 is trying to make it out to be?

"We can finally build a real team." Come on, that's pure bologna. The Kings are the 9th seed looking to takeover the 8th after this All-Star break, but instead the front office decides to take 10 steps back simply to change the culture.

It's funny you mention a green light. In the initial presser a reporter asked if Vivek gave him the green light to trade him and he said that Vivek didn't even know about the deal until he brought it to him. It sounds like Vivek wasn't even involved. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Vivek is more clueless than even the haters give him credit for. In fact I think he's so cluelss (partially by choice I'm sure) that he couldn't even name all the players on his own team. He strikes me as that type of owner. Which is either good or bad depending on your opinion.

Nah, I think Vlade's only goal is to create the most downtrodden, depressing basketball organization in history. I heard he liked to light things on fire as a kid so that might have something to do with it.

When I was an associate, I'd work my tail off to get the case to where it could be settled and my former boss never saw a deal he didn't think he could improve. I can't tell you how many settlements were scuttled because of him.
