Yeah. The dunk contest should only be trotted out every couple of years. It's difficult to make appealing every single year.

Old man Jamaal says:

bring back H-O-R-S-E and 2-Ball.

add an event that emphasizes blue collar fundamentals like boxing out, setting screens and chest passes.

No one is allowed to dunk or shoot three pointers in the actual game.

Everyone has to rock old school short-shorts. Even the referees. (I'm talking at least four inches above the knee.)

Play 1 and 2 pointers. First team to 16 wins.

I liked the HORSE competition. I guess it wasn't popular enough to keep around.

New idea. Merge the HORSE competition with the dunk contest.

But only open it to players under six feet...or over forty.
