Holmes would probably be a better option for you guys. Cheaper, more years.

If Love will return Cousins, Cavs cut everyone else out and just take Cousins.

I'm not trading for Wade on that contract but Love just underwent an MRI on his back. If it's season ending, NY might take him in a Wade/Melo/Love swap.

Hm... if you don't want Wade, and Love is going to the Knicks, where is Wade going in that swap?

Wade would have been going to Knicks but Love's back is okay so never mind.

Is there a way the Cavs can use their trade exception to acquire Ibaka from the Magic?

If we trade love to a 3rd team sure we could get ibaka. Not a great idea though.

Cavs - Bulls Trade. The Answer to your troubles.
Bulls trade... Wade, Gibson, MCW
.Why? To pair younger all star with Butler.
.Cavaliers trade... Love, JR
.Why? Besides obvious health concerns this season with Love and to a lesser degree with JR. To upgrade roster to better compete in the finals(Warriors). Wade brings the play maker LeBron desires. Gibson who LeBron has coveted in the past brings interior defense, ability to punish draymond in the post, also has a solid 20 ft jumper which TT does not. Gibson can guard the 3,4,5 on switches which is very important against the Warriors. MCW is an excellent long defender who can guard the 1,2,3 on switches, and absolutetly punish Steph in the post aswell as take him off the dibble and shoot over him in the paint. The loss of Love's 3pt shooting/spacing would be replaced by Frye getting a bigger role. Note... Cav,s waive a scrub prior to trade.

The only way I would want Melo is if he is bought out.

It wasn't necessary to use it. We have another TPE if we want to make a move. Most likely will be buyers after guys get bought out.

Sad part is in hindsight now, there is a great chance Love could have returned Cousins straight up judging by the crap Sac took for him.
