Jones is a PF/SF in the mould of Marv. Not so much C in the mould of Plumblee.

The most I'm willing to give up in a win-now move is dead weight like Sessions and a 2nd or two.

Kings are clearly tanking.

Ramon Sessions + 2017 or 2018 2nd for Darren Collison

Phoenix is shopping Brandon Knight again.

Ramon Sessions + Belinelli/Lamb + 2017 2nd for Brandon Knight + TJ Warren

Phoenix values Warren very highly. I don't think that offer would be enough to make Phoenix consider the move. I like where your head is at though. I love Warren's midrange game.

Send MKG and Sessions or whomever for Warren and Knight. Maybe a pick from them too?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Surely AD would welcome a trade for his buddy from college, and we get an expiring contract and a lottery pick

I'd sign on in a heartbeat

With MKG's value having taken a hit with his stunted development and NO already having Soloman Hill singed long term at SF, I'm not sure if the Pels would bite though.

We probably wouldnt want to do this now that New Orleans has Davis. That pick might not end up being very good. Holiday/Moore/MKG/Davis/Cousins, actually seems like a pretty awesome starting lineup.

Agreed. The trade changes things.

The upside of that NO Cousins deal is that they're now likely to surpass us record wise and thus move us down a spot in the lottery

Yeah we "probably" wouldn't trade MKG for an expiring and a mid 1st.

PHX pick Could be Top 10. We could walk away from the draft with the best G available and Miles Bridges or maybe with some luck Tatum and maybe the weird named guy that is foreign or worst come to worst BPA at our pick and Justin Jackson was the Phoenix pick. Tucker in my deal is to make the deal work officially, I'd prefer to have Warren.

I haven't seen a ton of Warren, but he doesn't seem as good as Lamb judging by the stats and hes only about a year younger. I'd rather have Lamb, but including either he or Belinelli is the only reasonable way to make the salaries match in a trade for Knight since we no longer have the Hawes/Hibbert contracts.

We should shop for TJ Warren, Avery Bradley, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope... These three are amazing defenders and they also have a good shooting ability. That's what we should look for.

Warren is a terrible range shooter

I really hope something positive happens for us. A trade that helps us long term, a full tank and land a top three pick, or we catch fire and make it back to the 6th seed at least.

I really can see any number of things happening and no one scenario looks more likely than the others. What we can't have happen is a scrap to the 8th seed only to be demolished by Cleveland.

The more I think about it, the more a Love trade seems like an ideal opportunity for us assuming we kept our pick in this draft.

Let's us tank the way tanking should be done, we return next year with two stars and a top draft pick. Gets us out of that crap Marvin and Batum deal too if they were the ones included.

TJ Warren scores a nice amount of mid-range points. What MKG barely does.
Warren also attack the basket better than MKG. He can help a lot.

I highly doubt KCP would be available for us. I'd honestly rather have him than Batum.

I agree with this, I really don't know where we go from here and I'm curious to see how we approach the deadline.

Even if CLE would consider trading us Love, 0% chance they do that without us sending our pick.

His game is built around the mid-range area. He wasn't a 3 pt shooter in college either. Take time to watch him and you'll see.

Lots of talk on twitter that SAC wants to move Collison.

Would be very willing to trade Sessions + 2nd for Collison. Get his BR, lock him down this summer and stop the stopgaps PGs.

I wonder if potential character issues are preventing us from going after Collison? Acquiring him on the cheap seems like a no brainer as far as his game goes.

Heres a really far out overhaul idea just for fun.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hugns6v
Charlotte gets: KCP + Jon Leur + Reggie Bullock
Detroit gets: Nic Batum

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hotgxu3
Charlotte gets: Brook Lopez
Brooklyn gets: Marvin Williams + Belinelli/Lamb + 1st round pick (2017 or 2018?) + 2018 2nd

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gw3hpfb
Charlotte gets: Darren Collison
Sacramento gets: Ramon Sessions + 2017 2nd

Kemba/Collison/Roberts
KCP/Lamb or Beli/Graham
MKG/Bullock
Frank/Leur/Wood
Lopez/Cody/Plumlee
