I'd do that deal if we keep the 2017 Brooklyn 1st and Jaylen Brown.

Avery Bradley, Amir and our 2018 pick is fair value for Butler. Borderline star and a pick. Much better return than what the Kings got for Cousins.

Boston must acquire Butler or Carmelo until deadline. If they do it they can really contend on the Eastern Championship. After Toronto acquired Ibaka the Eastern Conference is getting stronger and Boston must respond with acquiring an All-Star like Melo or Jimmy Butler. Even if they will need to give up Brooklyn pick(s).

In a couple years, when he's 30 and failed to take us past Cleveland and now wants a new max contract, while Jaylen is a young wing about to break out, we will regret it.

I don't and never have wanted Butler..Now if he is a gift sure I would take him. Chicago wants him gone for many reasons.
He can't even take them to playoffs while building roster. They have to go out and get Rondo and Wade and still they could fall out of playoffs race if some teams get hot.

Nothing relevant happened at all. This Melo stuff is garbage they followed him on instagram months ago. Media is just making a story out of it now.

Blake isn't coming. As I've said hundreds of times before Doc trades for stars he does not trade them. Now if he was smart they would start the blow up now with Blake CP3 and Reddick and build around DeAndre. But it won't happen so it's a non starter. Doc Rivers is an awful GM.

Doc would be more likely to trade for Tyler Zeller, opt into the contract, give up a pick at the deadline next season to get rid of him to bring in another player.
