My retirement!

Post#1 » by The Rebel » Sun Feb 19, 2017 6:00 pm

For some of you this may come as a surprise for others you know I have been trying to retire for at least a year. when I 1st started posting on Realgm it was a fun distraction, but over time it has become a job that has cut into to much of the rest of my life and made it hard to enjoy basketball which is originally what brought me to this site.

I have enjoyed the discussions I have had with many of you on this site, and learned a ton about basketball over the years, but after almost 6 years it is time for new leadership on this board. I think this board is in good hands with NuggetsWY and BWgood77 has agreed to keep help him out while Howard finds a more permanent replacement.

Here is to what looks like a great future with Jokic and Murray, let's enjoy the ride that many of us have been waiting decades for.

The Rebel - my hero --- I was lurking here for years before another board I was active on went bye-bye. I think the Nuggets' Board is one of the best on RealGM and that is due to the cooperation of some great people and in no small part, du to the effort expended by The Rebel and a another moderator or two.

I am very pleased to know that The Rebel intends to still be around, but just wants to be less involved. I can assure you that being a moderator does take more time than just being a poster.

Job Well DONE !! The Rebel, you shall always be known as one of, if not THE BEST Mods on this forum. While I understand the great service you've done, I trust your Nuggets insights will not disappear, we can always use your support and posts.

Thank you guys for the well wishes, and thoughts. I do plan on staying around some, but for the 1st time in years will not have to read every single post on this board, and have no intentions of being on here for hours every day.

The Rebel put in great work and that type of dedication is what makes this forum a better place. Best of luck in retirement, but I hope you continue to post here Rebel, to provide your important insight and value to this place.
