Theoretically, we could end up with a pick in the Top 5, Late First Round, Top 3 in the 2nd round, and Top 5 in the 2nd round....if the Lakers are Top 3.

That's a lot of ammo to play with.

If the Magic simply draft these players out, based on what these kinds of picks these usually bring, this is a a good-to-excellent starter and three high quality bench players.

The WoRC pick in particular looks to be a big. There are a lot of high quality bench players this year. Example: John Collins-WF, Tyler Lydon-Syracuse, Johnathan Motley-Baylor.

I like Tony Bradley as a local kid that probably would love to play in Orlando and Cam Oliver as a typical overproducing player given deficiencies in physical stature. Either of those kids would work their bums of for the Magic and look to be solid 8th men on many NBA teams.

For the two second rounders, I think the Magic could look to draft both of the highly regarded PGs, Monte Morris and Nigel Williams-Goss. Then in the pre-season the Magic can see which of these two is the future of the 3rd stringer at PG and let the other go.

Damn, I hadn't really thought about the possible value of all the seconds. A lot of ammo for sure. Would you rather have 2 high seconds in back to back years or an unknown unprotected#1 in 2 years?

Yeah I like Ferguson with that pick if he is still there. also Anunoby. Rabb, J. Collins, Z, Collins, Anigbogu and Lydon are other options but I am not locked on any one guy. There is still a lot of moving parts and it depends on who is still there and what other moves we make in between then. In the end I think we should look for the best player available though that could still be a few names rather than just one so fit needs to be considered so we shall see.

There are protections on the pick but it is unlikely Toronto misses the playoffs.

I could see us trading the Worc with our second rounder and other pieces to move up with the second first round pick. Maybe a team like Portland or detroit. Portland is way over the cap for the next three years and could use some help shedding salary. Later first round picks are cheaper and second round picks are non guaranteed contracts. Detroit has a little wiggle room but need to sign kcp. His deal will put them over easily. If we could pull off another small trade before the deadline and get another second then I think we'd be in great shape for the draft.

This would be my number 1 choice, package this pick and a 2nd to move into the late lottery if there is someone we really want or a high risk (Gannis type player) and take a swing

Someone like F Vasques?

Here are the exact conditions.

2017 first round draft pick from Toronto or L.A. Clippers (less favorable)
L.A. Clippers' 1st round pick to Toronto (via Milwaukee) protected for selections 1-14 in 2017, 1-14 in 2018 and 1-14 in 2019; if the L.A. Clippers have not conveyed a 1st round pick to Toronto by 2019, then the L.A. Clippers will instead convey their 2020 2nd round pick and 2021 2nd round pick to Toronto [L.A. Clippers-Milwaukee, 8/26/2014; Milwaukee-Toronto, 6/25/2015]; Toronto's 1st round pick to Orlando protected for selections 1-10 in 2017, 1-14 in 2018, 1-14 in 2019, 1-14 in 2020, 1-14 in 2021 and 1-14 in 2022 but from 2017-2019, if both this pick and the L.A. Clippers' pick fall outside their protected ranges in the same year, then Toronto will convey the less favorable of these two picks to Orlando; if Toronto has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Orlando by 2022, then Toronto will instead convey its 2022 2nd round pick and 2023 2nd round pick to Orlando [Orlando-Toronto, 2/14/2017]

If anyone wants to do standings to track where this pick is exactly, that would be great.

Clippers lost and Jazz won last night so the pick gained a spot.
