Bench unit of

Collison
Tomas
Oubre
Shabazz
Ian

...the ball movement might be hard to watch at times but it'd be better then watching our current nightly tire fire.

Collison makes me happy if all we give up is a 2nd and garbage.

The problem is the Wiz are probably attaching Nicholson to any deal making an outgoing first a likelihood.

You can make this assumption based on the Lou Will to Houston deal.

Yup. Hold on to this year's pick if possible, but I agree with them that the only way we give up our first-round pick this year or the next is that if the team takes Nicholson.

Yep. Burke & Thornton (expirings) and a 1st would have gotten us Lou but there are obvious financial concerns at work. Ernie was definitely including Nicholson and the Lakers simply took the offer with the lesser financial commitment. It appears we are still operating as if Ted wants to stay under the luxury tax. It means if we don't deal Nicholson at the deadline most likely we'll have to deal Smith or Nicholson this off-season and using the MLE will be out the question.

But let's all be like Nat and praise Ernie for the great job he's done. Sometimes the opportunity cost isn't clear until later on. With Cousins, Drummond & BLopez on the market there were great ways to upgrade the frontcourt that we lost out on because Ernie panicked when Durant & Horford passed on coming to DC.

Don't forget the cheap owner that won't do what it takes to take a leap that this franchise hasn't made in 38 years.

I'm fine with Collison on the cheap. But man, if this ain't Grunfeld going Grunfeld: snapping up an undesirable backup PG in the offseason, so that he has to throw good resources after bad to pick up an upgrade at the trade deadline.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Damn, standby. Gotta turn over this thread. (Admins say it's a technical issue).
