I think it just delayed some of these deals. Plus with Mitch getting fired today and Magic taking over I am sure teams will want to see what Lou Williams and Nick Young will cost. I also think if Boogie was a wing we would have went for a lot more. Wings have so much more value. Teams are trying to get the most value as they can waiting for another team to hop in there.

Like all those names except Terrance jones. He would be ok if we didn't have Jerami grant, but he can't shoot and would just slot in as another big man.

"IF" a Boston deal happens and crowder gets traded, I would love for us to attempt to slide in and get crowder.

I want us to make some good trade, but it's the first season I'm not that crazy about the trade deadline. We don't have the assets to improve so much for this season, so unless we get a huge value, I don't see many reasons to try desperately to find some trade :(

Interestingly enough, this deadline has interested me the most I've been in years. The roster is just so flawed combined with the lack of assets that I don't know what direction or players we wind up with. In previous years, we had a much better team that didn't need much, so the deals were very small except for the kanter deal. Now we need moves more than ever, but you have to be really creative to actually do anything meaningful.

Anyone have a link to article stating the case for trading Roberson before deadline? Apparently he shot down 10-12 million a year for 4 years! Is this kid crazy?

If that's true I think he's going to be kicking himself. This season has definitely hurt his market value. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts at 8 mill or so.

Yeah that's what I am expecting. 8 million. I still think we should let him walk if Presti plans on 10-12 million. 12 mil a year for a one-way player is a lot when the cap is about to flatten out over the next couple of years at 100 mil.

From the article:

Perhaps the market for a true one-way player is less lucrative than Roberson expects, and Presti can lock him in at a reasonable price. Or, you know, Dre could field a juicy offer from someone else and Presti may find himself unwilling/unable to match — and then we all watch Roberson walk away for nothing in return.

...

I don’t know what Roberson is worth in terms of trade value, but we all know how Presti feels about letting assets go for nothing in return. The idea of Dre walking this summer would likely have Sammy P’s hair standing on end, if it weren’t already standing on end in the first place.

Nets selling hard on bogdanovic, wonder if we made an offer.

I'm convinced LA is making Pelinka GM to chase the goat: Dion.

Nets probably want a 1st. We shouldn't give it to them.

I would say losing Roberson alone would be addition by subtraction, but our wing depth is so, so bad that that probably wouldn't be the case. Which is pretty depressing.

Zach Lowe wrote the other day that someone should make a bid for KJ McDaniels though he may suddenly be more valuable to Houston after trading Brewer.

I think there are some players who are flying way below the radar that have very good potential and we should be feeling them out. K.J. McDaniels is one of those players but I would try to snipe a combo guard in case Payne doesn't work out. I really like Delon Wright.
Potential is there but he's sitting behind CoJo and Lowry and Powell.

Mcdaniels is still riding that hot 3 point shooting month he had to start his career. The guy isn't good at all. Basically a smaller jerami grant.
