So front office gets in bed with Adrian Wojnariwski

One of the things that came out of this transition is that the team appears to now be completely in bed with Woj. He's breaking every Lakers story out there, Cousins trade involvement, Pelinka hire, Lou trade, he's getting all the scoops. Recall that the front office has never leaked to Woj before, famously keeping him in the dark about the DLo pick at a time where he was leaking every pick long before it was announced.

Unlike Jim/Mitch, Jeanie and Magic appear to be quite involved and attentive to the PR machine, and in my opinion getting into bed with Woj is a move in the right direction. He's already arguably the most influential writer out there, famously putting out fluff pieces and hit pieces depending on the needs of his sources, and now with his rumored move to ESPN, a relationship with him will be more important.

Gonna be interesting to track the pattern of Woj Lakers leaks and Woj favorable opinion pieces.

Damn. Good read. Whatever puts him at the top of the game I guess. It really is up to the reader to discern what is factual or opinion based from these sports mouths, and how much stock to put in those different arenas coming from the same speaker.

Woj to ESPN, is, incidentally, Durant to GSW. He basically kept yahoo relevant as a FU to ESPN.

Anyhow, yeah it is weird to see him suddenly breaking Lakers news.

Competition is a good thing. ESPN gets too complacent. I'm glad Woj continues to drop his bombs.

He kept his sources safer than Yahoo kept customers passwords. Woj is the best, period. Magic likes the best people.

maybe not.... ESPN's ratings are tanking at an alarming rate year over year. Insider is a net loss as well. Woj. going there is more like jumping off the titanic onto a boat with a slower leak.

His "breaking" news for LA if wrong will put him forever in the "Fake sports news" area. At least at Yahoo he was the show... here he works for a massive media group.
