People are just looking to use Rob as a scapegoat.

I'm not even a Rob supporter but the major issues we have with this franchise right now go way beyond Rob. The problems start with Vogel and you can work you way all the way up to the top. But it is by no means all on Rob.

I just wish our GM could do the job he was hired to do. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

I may just turn into a casual fan to avoid heartache.

I wouldn't blame you. Honestly though I think the last year and half a lot has come down to Rob not being allowed to do his job in my opinion. The Skiles hiring has Martins written all over it. The Harris trade has Skiles and Martins written all over it. Rob was pressured to go and get free agents this summer because of the Harris trade so he went out and got the type of guys Vogel wanted for his system. That was another failure.

The problem for me isn't so much Rob it's Alex Martins. I heard Woj talking about it on a podcast yesterday but the good organizations let GMs and basketball people do their jobs and keep the people that don't know things about basketball out of basketball decisions. What has killed the Kings is their owner has no basketball experience, he dosent scout, he dosent evaluate players, but when it comes down to making major basketball decisions (Drafting, Trades, Hirings) he has a huge part and generally final say. That's what has crippled their franchise. I feel we may be getting into that dangerous territory with Martins. He should have absolutely no say on anything basketball related with this team. None. The next GM we bring in here needs to have experience and needs to be allowed to do his job fully.

Basically, I think just need a major house cleaning. That's the only way I see things getting better.

Yes I agree this trade was a no brainer, but Hennigan doesn't seem to have any brains. Smh

Brandon Knight has liked 20 tweets in 7 years on Twitter.

Take a look at the most recent one.

This is me grasping at straws.

Hahahahaha, I thought that name was familiar.

So weird too, there wasn't really a way to search for that Tweet. No idea how he found it.

That was just a screencap from the Woj Facebook feed from earlier, right?

it seems that players are equally as crazy as we are when it comes to searching for rumors on Twitter

and yeah it was a screencap of the Facebook chat, meaning that he didn't even search "Knight Orlando" or something like that. he went far down the rabbit hole lmao

I bet we'd all be searching too if we were in his shoes right now. Pretty surprising he actually bothered to hit like... Does he just really like the idea or is he trying to send a signal to the magic?

No idea how he found that tweet.

But = I hit like on tweets by accident all the time when I'm on the phone scrolling down.

Anyway, I do not want Brandon Knight!! Jesus, not even for Jeff Green.

Yeah why can't it be some star player hitting likes on Orlando tweets... instead it's another 40% scorer. :nonono:

Wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with Knight. Sigh.

ROB DID everything right till he lost control of the power. He has not made a move since we hired skiles.
It s a shame because Rob is one of the best mind in the business

Yeah, that's kind of been the one thing keeping me on the fence about firing him. It does seem like he did get out to a relatively decent start to the rebuild. I feel in the past two seasons in particular, we've seen a clash of what Rob wants, and what Martins and Devos wants. Now if Woj is correct, and he usually is, it seems like Vogel may be having more say in what is going on as well. So it's just a mess right now.

I'm not saying Rob is blameless in the whole thing, certainly a good amount of things that have happened are his decisions. However, simply firing Hennigan is not going to fix this team like some may think. I also don't think Rob is as bad as some on here will think, simply because I think he's facing such oppositions from Martins, the Devos', Skiles, and perhaps even Vogel. An organization gets messy fast when an owner, president, or even the coach starts overstepping their roles. I mean just look at the Kings and their idiot owner.

To be fair, he should just have stepped down as soon as they forced him to take skiles

I'm not a huge Cousins fan, but if we really could have had him for Fournier and Vooch, we made a mistake. And I'm a pretty big Vooch supporter.

Someone posted on the forum somewhere an article saying Cousins' agents (Fegan and someone else) told the other 29 teams that Cousins had no intention of signing an extension and made it clear it was a possibility he could leave in a year and half. I think given the Magic's history as a franchise and history with Fegan, it would be enough to hold back. If that's the case, it's hard for me to blame them.

this is how i feel. They already had a Fegan client force his way out, im sure there is still some bad blood between them. If all we had to give up was Vuc/Fournier, that isnt too bad. But if it included our pick this year then they had to say no.

The Biz signing was all Vogel.

how do you figure? especially when word was Orlando was sniffing around Biz last year before he signed with Toronto, when Vogel was still with Indiana

where has it "come out"? I have only seen speculation from people on this board? 1/4 people on this board probably believe in aliens too.

not to change sports, but that is what Nick Saban had to do at Alabama. After his first year, he cleaned house of all the old "i have a connection to Bear Bryant" people. Former players were welcome, but all the others just hanging around the stadium, team, complex, etc were given notice. They kept causing too many problems.
