I expect that means that Indy is going to lose him for nothing, so his value is really low right now. Would you:

Knight, Tucker, Miami 1st for Paul George

understanding not only there are no guarantees to extend, he is threatening to walk in 18 months.

For a one year rental? Hell yeah I do this trade, who knows maybe he'd like to stay? I like Tucker but have him or lose him, it really doesn't matter. Use our '17 pick for BPA. Roll all of next season with a lineup of:

Bled/Ulis/'17 pick
Book/'17 pick
PG/Warren
Chriss/Bender
Tyson/Len

IMO 1 year gamble with PG is worth more than a gamble on what the Miami pick will be and who the draft pick MIGHT become.

And you have the potential for a free agent this summer. Blake Griffin?

Bled/Ulis
Booker
PG/Warren
Blake/Chriss/Bender
Tyson/Len

Add Ball, Fultz, or Jackson

It would be interesting.

Why are you adding Ball, Fultz or Jackson? That pick would be going to Indiana if we're living in the real world.

If PG is enough to entice Griffin to sign here then you do it. I mean PHX to LA is what a 45 min flight? ;)

Hell yeah I would! Easily! I'd even throw in Len.

But nothing more. We'd have 18 months to rev up the old SSOL offense and convince PG to stay as the focal point of our offense. Tell him he will again be an MVP canidate. And of course, make sure he gets a nice highrise pad in Scottsdale or Tempe so he can bang Scottsdale sluts and ASU chicks. Dream Palace, Christies, and Babes are all only 5-10 minutes away.

For an 18 month rental and the inside track on changing his mind before he becomes a FA.

I might not do it because he moves the needle too much and messes up our opportunity for a top 3 pick this summer.

If that's all it cost was Knight, Tucker, and Miamis 1st - for sure I would do it. Heck if the Pacers wanted Warren and the Suns could move Knight for an expiring Jeff Greene and do that - bring it on

Paul George is top talent in the NBA. He would move the needle a lot. As for the rest of this year, "his ankle got an owwie" so he will be disabled the rest of the season  Paul George would change the dynamic and he would be able to see in 18 months where the Suns sit compared to the Lakers.

Point is that package would never net us PG in the first place. I'd like to hang onto those Miami picks also... they may be on a bit of a win streak lately but they are really not good. An injury in any one of those years and it could be a very valuable pick. Secondly, Paul George by himself does not make us a contender and his infatuation with Magic and the Lakers means he is as good as gone after the rental is over.

Would have to give some something with Knight to get this done.

I mean, what else would it take from the Suns to get this deal done. Okafor for Knight seems like a very solid move. Okafor with Chandler would be quite the combo. Would the Suns need to include Warren as well

With Tiago going to Philly I'd have to imagine 2 of Noel, Okafor, and Holmes are on the move.

Splitter doesn't play (his hamstring has been all messed up since way back when he was on the Spurs). He's just an expiring contract.

Definitely thought he had an additional year left on his deal. Moot point then, just an expiring.
