Also WCS, Pappagiannis and Skal.

He seems to like shooters and Centers.

Interestingly he had the best shooting Center in the league and traded him for peanuts.

This is an oversimplification. Not everybody thrives through opposition. Some people need different emotions to be at their best. Human beings are very complicated from a mental standpoint, there are thousands of success stories out there, who succeeded because they weren't bullied, and thousands of tragedies that happened, because instead of being shown something else, they were bullied.

Cousins did yell at him on the court telling Nik to shoot the ball when he would pass up an open jump shot . You know the same thing Lebron does to Kevin Love

Part of being a leader (and Superstars need to be leaders, just the way it is) is knowing how to get the best out of players around you. Some guys respond best to being directly challenged. Maybe another guy needs an arm around his shoulder and words of encouragement. I think Nik was the former.

I also suspect part of the problem is the kid was over-drafted and people expected too much out of him at age 21. He wasn't ready to play in the NBA but they get pushed to declare early when they have been successful at a young age in college.

It looked like it was covered in that chemical **** that is supposed to taste like butter. If the popcorn was actually buttered up the cleaning job is far worse, it would be almost as bad as taking huge bags of gravy and dumping it all around the house. I assume their goal was not to actually damage his house and force him to buy everything new again or pay for some extreme cleaning procedure.

I think once you had a maid handle it you would just smell butter for a while, but eventually even that could be taken out with repeated use of Incense or air fresheners or something.

Of course a lot of that really depends on the fine details on whether it is effective "tough love" or just being a dumbass.

Listen everyone admits Kobe and MJ are dicks, but when it comes to Cousins it's teh evil mediah just slurring his good name. despite a distinct lack of support for him from teammates.

Jordan acquired Kwame years later to play on the Charlotte (then) Bobcats.

Brown didn't earn any praise from Kobe either as a Laker.

I think Kwame was very overhyped coming out of HS and he possessed very little capacity to improve as a pro.

Pop doesn't yell at everyone. That's a misconception started by the media. He knows full well that some players can be yelled at and some can't.

I think Nick Stauskus is a soft guy with confidence issues on the court. I also believe Cousins to be a relatively ignorant man who could be difficult to spend an extended period of time around.

If this is true, the Pelicans are the perfect team for Cousins, because they almost never have any rookies.
