Yeah I don't see anything with the Clips that makes sense for both sides. I know Jackson and the FO was targeting Austin Rivers last summer in free agency and he was discussed in the Melo rumors but I don't see him being shipped out for Courtney Lee. They are probably trying to dump Crawford on the Knicks but that makes no sense for the Knicks.

There is no PG market that is why Rose for Rubio works. PG is the most loaded position in the NBA. You need one to be good but most teams already have one.

From what I've heard is that this draft is top heavy, but then it falls off. Right now we have the 8th pick. Here are the last 3 #8 picks. Marquis Chriss, Stanley Johnson, Nik Stauskas. Not exactly world changers.

I think you're better off looking at who was picked after and trusting management

I think all the "Wolves wanting a 1st rounder...and a early 1st rounder at that...to trade Rubio" talk is just fluff. Same with the "Wolves talking to other teams". Teams will say that hoping to push the other team (the Knicks in this example) to give up more. I would actually be upset as a fan of a team if my team's GM didn't try that. Like Masai Ujiri said amid chuckles regarding getting the Knicks to include Mozgov and the pick swap..."we figured there was no harm in asking...".

Here is my wild guess: Minny is willing to trade Rubio for Rose but want to attach Pekovic to the deal so that they are still under the cap and probably have another win now deal in place where they trade Muhammed for a higher salary player. We, on the other hand, are willing to trade Rubio for Rose straight up but want additional compensation if Pekovic is included on the deal.

Phil might have a 1st lined up for Rose alone, and if he can get Rubio plus he might like that better.
