Just wanted to let you guys know that Taj is a model teammate who doesn't care if he starts, loves his teammates, and always gives 100%. I hope you guys appreciate him, and I'll definitely be rooting for the Thunder to do well this year.

Thanks! I love Taj, have for a while. We'll take care of him. And I think you guys will like Morrow for the same reasons.
Payne for McBuckets feels like 2 teams swapping their disappointing prospects, but Lauvergne might be a nice pickup for you guys to stretch the floor. He's not great, but he's not bad. Think he'll be cheap to re-sign and will probably outperform his deal.

Payne is not a disappointing prospect. He was the rookie of the year for a long time for most of us.

It seems like a better trade for OKC. Taj is still good.

Re: TAJIE WOOOO AND DOUGIE MCBUCKETS PARTY THREAD
I'm glad Taj is going to a decent team with a great fan base. Sad we couldn't get it done wit him in Chicago. He's a stabilizing locker room presence who puts his head down and works his ass off. He will play through injury, and won't complain. He's a consummate professional. I am very sad to see him go.
Doug, I'm disappointed. The Bulls really screwed the pooch completely with him. Traded Nurkic and Gary Harris for him, both guys I wish the Bulls had instead of anything they're getting back from the Thunder now.

Re: TAJIE WOOOO AND DOUGIE MCBUCKETS PARTY THREAD
Congrats guys, you fleeced us
I hope Payne lives up to our hopes, because it'll be the only thing that will redeem this deal for us. Can you guys tell us any more about him?
Taj Gibson is one of the best Bulls I've ever supported. You will love this guy. Amazing vet presence, hard nosed player. Will do all the little things, great defender, good rebounder, has a post game/mid-range J and is still an explosive finisher given his age.
Doug McDermott has been unfairly criticized by fans ever since arrival because we spent 5 picks to get him, but he is a knockdown shooter, and scorer. Beyond his shooting ability, he can post up smaller players, is a decent athlete who will surprise you with some dunks, and is a great finisher off cuts. He is limited in that he has a very dependent offensive game, for example can't play off anything more than a straight line drive off the dribble, and he's a below average defender, doesn't rack up many boards, etc., but he's a dangerous role player who should thrive off Westbrook.

We had so many hopes with Cam. We thought he was going to be a starter PG. Ball movement was there, skill, passing ability.
He didn't get enough playing time during last regular season (and that was our main issue with Billy Donovan during regular season) and during the offseason he started to play very well but then he got injured.
He came back playing VERY bad, was not the same guy.
I think he still has chances about being a good NBA player, but he needs to improve his defense A LOT and I think he's not physically ready yet for the NBA. The potential is there but there's a lot of work to make him a good NBA PG. I wish the best for Cam with the Bulls!

He has broccoli hair and a mouse face. These physical features together with his above average dancing skills and small stature makes him the ideal villain sidekick.

Re: TAJIE WOOOO AND DOUGIE MCBUCKETS PARTY THREAD
Presti pulled a rabbit out of his hat with this deal. A very solid veteran and young wing prospect for Cam, Joff, and A-Mo is a BIG DEAL. Don't kill me, but I like this deal more than the Wilson Chandler deal. Wilson is a good scorer, but he's not a knockdown shooter. We would also still have Domantas working through his issues and Andre would be gone, so the defense would be trash. (Denver fans were saying that Wilson hasn't been that good on the defensive end this year.) Now Doug won't be confused with a good defender, but he is a very solid wing prospect. I've liked him since he was drafted by the Bulls and I think people will be surprised by him when he gets here. He isn't Kyle Singler aside from them both being white I guess.
He isn't a creator off the dribble, but he will knockdown jumpers when the ball reaches him. Isn't that what we want ? Alex has the exact same flaws Mcdermott has and we all like him. So give Doug a fair shot, he may pleasantly surprise you.
Paul George and Jimmy Butler were never coming. Presti pulled a McGuyver with what we had available. It was also huge that he kept Andre in the deal. If you bring in McDermott, you can't send Andre out unless you want Steven to collapse on the court from the defensive strain. I was one of the people that wanted Andre gone more than anything in exchange for a shooter. Well, we got the shooter and didn't have to send him out to get one. Taj's resume speaks for itself.
Payne is an interesting prospect. I think he is a case of being drafted by the wrong team. We would be lying to you if we said that he has played well this year, because well... he's played like crap. However, I think he can manage your bench well if given the opportunity. He's a player that needs leeway to play and expand his game, and he was never going to get that playing behind a probable Hall of Famer point guard. I'm guessing Rondo is surely gone after this year because right now Cameron is like your third string PG. He is a good character guy and I'm sure he works hard, but his defense and shot selection leave a lot to be desired. I think Hoiberg will like him though because he is very coachable. He will probably peak at being a decent backup, but if you don't mind that he is just fine.

I love Taj with Adams. OKC is building the upgraded version of the 2011 Bulls.

Cam's got off to a rough start after injury this year but was great in SL and last year brought the bench to life. He's got a streaky 3 and a nice little floater he shows but this whole season he's gotten no real flow yet since coming back. Not a terrible defender, not great, but I still think he's at least a solid backup.
