Going for the big time offense to outscore everyone.

I think the Lakers did good here getting a first rounder for Lou. Good job Magic.

I wonder if now Magic will try and pull West back into the Lakers fold, and away from us?

Can see it happening. Are a Magic and West close?

I guess the argument against that happening, would be to ask why Jerry would want to bail on this beast he has helped build, just as it's really revving up into a potentially all time winner.

Read somewhere that West has some equity in the Warriors.

He'd have to divest in that before taking a job with another team. His equity will be greatest when they move to the new arena.

His son is already in the Lakers front office, as are a couple of younger Buss sons. For whatever reason, West is on the outs with the Lakers. In the past he threatened to quit if they didn't draft Worthy for instance. And supposedly he wanted Montcrief over Magic, so maybe Magic isn't that chummy with Jerry West.

Yeah they're pretty close. And Jerry West will always be LAkers at heart. Plus Jerry lives down there.

I hope he stays, and I'm just throwing it out there. Not that I've heard anything. Plus with Jerrys age, he might just want to keep things as is.

Have you guys worked out Larry Sanders? He is scheduled to work out with the Cavs.

Boston is the team to watch right now, will they let some of the assets go for Butler or George?

Nope. Pretty boring deadline. Most of the big action came well before the deadline with Cousins and Ibaka getting traded.

Noel got traded for Justin Anderson, Bogut, and two 2nd round picks ( the protections on the 1st, if you look at where MAvs are in the standings, have a 100% chance of kicking in so it will really be 2 2nds).

I feel like GS could have gotten Noel. :-(

Well Warriors couldn't give him a big contract after this season, whereas Mavs presumably are planning to do so.

So they got screwed out of DA Jordan last year and now will end up with a younger player who will be able to do similar things.

Justin Anderson is probably better than any asset the Warriors were willing to trade if you assume the W's were not gonna part with any of the big 4 + Livingston and Iguodala.....I don't think the Warriors young guys(Mccaw, Looney, Jones, etc) have any value right now.

I would have gone after Noel if he had one more rook year but as is he isn't worth it as a rental.

So for us looking forward, the deadline comes down to where both Bogut and Deron Williams sign.

If the Cavs get Deron, that's really scary.

There's talk that they'll get both Deron and either Sanders or Bogut.

How doesn't the buyout market work, they get paid and then released and if they clear waivers, they can go to the highest bidder for their services?

Or players sign with whichever team they want for whatever reason, like ring-chase?

I guess Cavs wanted Joe Johnson last year in the buyout market but he opted for Miami.

If Cavs get Deron, then he plays on the second unit, maybe some with Lebron but not with Kyrie?

He's been shooting about his career averages, 43/35. Maybe he'll get more open looks or he'll get good looks for Korver and Frye?

Deron is expected to sign with Cavs when he clears waivers. You guys think having him will allow the Cavs to match up with you guys roster?

If you clear waivers you are a free agent so you can go anywhere you want for whatever they offer.
