Harrison Barnes has been playing PF almost exclusively all year while we had Anderson at the 3 or 2 mostly so it's not really Barnes fault.

I was high on Anderson as a prospect because of his hustle and athleticism, but he has really regressed this year BIG TIME. His once decent jump shot has reverted to what the scouts have been warning people about and his IQ has plummeted to Javale levels.

Javale surprising has been awesome with the GWS.

Not sure the deal with Anderson and Barnes. You as a Maverick fan would obviously know more about things. I would have thought with Dirk Barnes would be playing SF but I dunno.

What I do know is that Anderson has only started 2 games and is averaging 13.9 minutes so someone is starting at SF over him.

I'd love to be wrong, but I have a feeling he's just gonna be the latest guy everyone tries to convince themselves will be good to make ourselves feel better about this trade, but he will amount to nothing and be gone in 1-2 years.

Sure, but one thing seems to tie them together, can't shoot reliably.

Sounds very similar to TLC. The reality of many NBA trades is money, not talent or fit or the other ways that team's spin it. Noel was too expensive next contract for limited minutes, they got what they could for him.

Less protection on the first would've been nice, but they obviously weren't resigning Nerlens, so you get a 3-D prospect with a cheap deal for a few years. Should've flipped Bogut for another second, but I'm anxious to see what Anderson brings. Can you run with Simmons/Anderson/Covington/Embiid/guard?? Tremendous lengthy h and defensive versatility if you can make that work.

I think TLC is much more "raw", and he's not as physically mature as Anderson, who's a pretty built dude.

This guy needs to play 30mpg. So what if he isn't good? We need to develop him and we need to tank.

He will either be that, or he will be a good role playing defender and hopefully shooter. We will have to see.

I'm happy to get a guy like him on the team. I just don't like the value in trading Noel for him.

He isn't good enough to be worth the downside of losing Noel.

I'm glad the logjam has some pressure released though at least.

Logjam got easier? We added 1 more center. How it is easier?

Oh I wasn't knocking Javale at all, he played awesome in Dallas when given minutes and I told GSW fans he'd be great for them - but IQ wise, he really was beyond poor.

As for Anderson, he's been abysmally bad this year that DFS had him beat for minutes.

I can almost hear your bottom lip quivering as you wrote this.

What were you expecting? A 30ppg guy? Man so many triggered people at the moment. Who cares if he is gone in 2 years time... Nerlens was gone anyway for nothing.

Who did we add? Bogut? Splitter? Both centers will not suit up for us.

76ers should chase Mills hard in the off season - perfect fit and at under 12m per leaves plenty in the bank for resigning the future young stars.
