Team/BC disrespecting fans through misinformation

Fake Mavs 1st rounder
Fake impending Jah trade
Misinformation and then leaks revealing Embiid meniscus tear... and now Embiid angry at team
Embiid "day to day" for a month misleading fans into ticket sales
Misinformation and then leaks about Simmons CT results

And that is just the past month.

Weren't we told by ownership that the Colangelos were brought to town to improve team communication and transparency? I guess that was the biggest lie of them all. Hinkie set up this team so well, and somehow the front office is ruining all good will... on top of making questionable moves... only to lie about the Fake1st they got in return.

I'd call for BC to be replaced... if i trusted the owners to know how to hire and stick with a GM.

I doubt I'll ever forgive the NBA for stepping in and replacing Hinkie with this bunch of Spin Doctor hacks. I guess this is how the establishment reacts when someone like Hinkie exposes their broken system. At least I like the current players... although I'd prefer NN over Jah.

The world of alternative facts has descended into Sixers land, except when dealing with other GMs, where BC's transparency and big mouth make him an easy mark.

I loved Hayes' article that listed all of the scummy things the Colangelos have done, then out of the blue decried them as being utterly professional and, of course, stuck with the 'mess' Hinkie left them (like a mess of picks and good young players).

The issues with Embiid are worrisome, assuming he gets past the injuries, you can't have your franchise piece unable to trust management and feel like they hung him out to dry, which they did.

The phantom first rounder is utterly bizarre, truly, wtf is that all about? How this doesn't bother people and seem entirely like a shallow and insulting shell game is beyond me.

And BB, who was oft left to dangle far too often by Hinkie whose dork-ninja code of secrecy, at least on the record, was one of his main downfalls, has been not only left equally dangling by BC, but also required to give answers to questions that all of these misinformation shenanigans have wrought.

I called Hinkie on his faults and rightly speculated that it could cost him his job and thus put the whole Process at risk. And I tried to give BC at least some rope and not pre-judge him too badly simply because of his father and the irregularity of his hire. I even defended BC a bit earlier this month saying that I can't criticize his lack of information when I gave Hinkie a pass.

But recently I find BC's actions to be disrespectful and insulting to me as a fan... on top of all of the damage he is doing through his bungling. If Embiid is healthy then it would take an idiot to fail with everything Hinkie left in place with talent and future picks. But BC might just be that guy.

Also, I sort of always suspected the owners saw this as little more than another distressed asset- albeit a trophy one. I really wish they would just sell the team for their 3X profit and move on to their next project. This is not Hostess.

All I'll say is that as bad as the return was and how badly he misplayed his hand I'm glad we moved Noel rather then kept him. We weren't going to resign him the 2019 plan was beyond stupid.

It's just hard to see what we settled for compared what was available this offseason. He can't make the same mistake with Okafor. As soon as he regains a little value he needs to be moved immediately.

He moved Nerlens (who was leaving via FA anyways) and Grant. Thats it.

So your saying he is implying that we will dump Embiid/Simmons heading into there contract years for minimal return?

Nerlens was leaving. Even if we matched, He was not going to be happy here as a backup.I dont see how people can't grasp this concept. Getting anything now is better then nothing.

Outside of that, he has not done anything that negatively effects our team long term.

I'm not a fan of calling anyone out but this makes you look really bad man. Most fans are upset/emotional right now because we CONTINUE to support this team through the **** show that has been on the floor the past few seasons. "Trust the Process" is what has been driven down our throats and Hinkie gave us a full plan on what he was trying to accomplish here the few times he did go out to the press. What is Bryan Colangelo's plan right now? Coming in I thought it was to accelerate the process. Now he is jumping the gun and trading away assets that can help us win games now and into the future. There was a vision for this team a year ago but after yesterday most of us are skeptical on where we are going as a franchise.
