I know the Pelicans will get scary good in the near future but the best case scenario for the Kings is they (Pelicans) continue to lose.

Is it possible that the Pelicans will do the tanking for us -- while the Kings get valuable playoff experience and still draft in high lotto range?

I will say Tyreke's form looks a lot better on his jumper than his last rodeo here. He has a bit of a fade still but much more vertical.

One potential problem I saw on the court tonight was rebounding. Combo of Skal/WCS isn't the greatest defensive rebounding duo.

I hate to even think about that considering the starting lineup we saw tonight. :banghead:

The only issue I see with the Pelicans is defending pick and roll. Whereas, while Sacramento loses it's offensive foundation, with Willie out there, and more Skal, the Kings should be a stingy pick and roll defending team.

Buddy was known as a pretty good rebounder in college and Tyreke is decent, but yeah it will probably be an issue. Tonight Tolliver picked up some slack but you can't rely on that if his career numbers have a say.

Willie looked a little more aggressive attacking the rebounds tonight. I think a part of it could be that he conceded boards to Cousins. He still needs to get better but it looked a little better tonight.

I could see the Pelicans going through a rough transition period since Gentry isn't a very good coach and they don't have much around Boogie, AD and Holiday. However, the Nuggets and Blazers will probably still be in the mix until the end.

Wow, just by looking at a box score, your team looks like a much more exciting team right now.

He didn't really fit with Cuz though. They started to develop some chemistry with Reke cutting off of Cuz but in the end, they couldn't both be in the same spot on the floor at one time.

If Joerger uses Reke like this then it could work. Reke hasn't seen this many shooters around him before. Although that DC, Lawson, Reke combo is a disaster waiting to happen. If I didn't know any better, Joerger put some lineups out there tonight just so he could tell Vlade, "See, I tried to get the tank back on the road!".

It's usually this time of the season when you know you have nothing to look forward to and you're thinking about which coach to hire next. But this year is different. Now there is hope.

True. I always thought though that had the Kings kept Evans then an IT/Evans backcourt would've been straight up lethal, similar to the Blazers backcourt now.

The Pelicans are going to have a much harder time adjusting than the Kings. You can't just throw two super high usage star big men together and expect them to go on a huge winning streak. They will each have to adjust and will likely be worse individually at least.

But you throw a bunch of underutilized talented low usage unselfish players together, everyone will play better.
