Yup and this is my reply to you on Aug 3rd

"Zion has just started to blow up really. He has been pretty dominant as of late. But don't know how high his NBA ceiling is"

I stick by what I said. I still question his ceiling because of not knowing what position he's going to be. Zion really started to blow up in mid to late June which is when the top 100 camp happened and early august he kept that dominant play going during the Adidas circuit. And there is even a post on Aug 4th saying Zion was #1 on 247, which backs up what I said. Again he blew up because he dominated these elite camps, he just got even more popular with the casual fan because his dunks on Youtube against bad competition.

247 moved him to their #1 prospect in the 18 class back on August 4th. He had plenty of buzz before this season. Bamba, Ayton, Duval, Porter and the rest of those guys are Seniors. Zion, Bagley, Reddish and Langford are Juniors.

Come on man. We do this like every other year now. We've had like 10 "next LeBron" and LeBron level athletes since the 2003 draft.

He looks exactly like Schea Cotton as a HS prospect

In terms of athleticism, he's definitely not an exact LeBron clone as they have different body types as prospects.

But he is on LeBron's level athletically.

No clue why people are doubting this guy. It looks very obvious to me that he's a lights out NBA Prospect.

This..ppl are only saying it's not even close bc of hindsight after knowing what he became. LeBron was indeed special he had athleticism, court vision/passing and unique feel for the game. It's very rare to find guys in basketball to have all 3 let alone man of his size at 6'8. That being said, zion is a more explosive athlete than LeBron at least vertically. Guys built his size should not be able jump or move like that..he defies all stereptypes.

Yup no one is saying he is on Lebron's level as a prospect. Most people are just saying they havent seen a mix of this size and athleticism since Lebron, I cant think of anyone. Lebron was definitely faster in the open court, Zion is fast for his size but Lebron had freakish speed. Zion is thicker and stronger and I will even give him the edge vertically as well. Again hes 6'7 and gets his eyes to the rim with ease.

Compare him to Stanley Johnson when Johnson was a senior at Mater Dei.

Seriously. His athleticism is insane. Check how far away he leaps from in that vine, combined with how much room he still has once he gets to the basket. He's still above the rim.

Just to get a comparison on his athleticism compared to 6'7-6'8 wings that we have seen come into the league the last couple years that were already very well built guys. So lets compare him with Stanley Johnson and Jaylen Brown. Both of these guys were already built like grown men in high school. Forgive the long post but im going to post a video for each of the 3 guys.

I think a few things stick out. Stanley clearly had the most offensive polish and skill at this level but he has always been more of a stiffer athlete, not nearly as fluid as the the other two. Jaylen not as skilled as Stanley but a more fluid athlete. Then you get to Zion, I think if you watch Stanley and Jaylen first then watch Zion the first thing that sticks out is Zion's speed, that dude really moves. I also think its obvious he has a next level of explosion compared to these guys. It doesnt matter if its one foot off a full sprint or off 2 feet with no momentum, he just explodes off the floor.

Again this is why he gets the Lebron talk. Its not the skill level because Zion isnt close to Lebron there. Zion is also not on the same level of athlete as Lebron was, but I dont think we have seen a mix of this size and athleticism since Lebron. I think its pretty clear in these videos that Zion is just on another level athletically and thats saying a lot especially when youre comparing him to a guy like Jaylen Brown.

Who has a game when they're in HS that doesn't change significantly? I'm talking about their abilities and skills.

I think you can get a good feel on how someone plays the game when theyre in high school. I think Zion is the far superior athlete and higher basketball IQ than Stanley at that age and I think Stanley had the better offensive skill set.
