lmao, what a joke man.... only a sixer can have an injury that usually takes 2 or 3 months end up taking 6 months to a year

I am so ready to just quit on this team for good

oh no, I can't believe it. That's so sursprising. Who knew? This is just so sad.

We all knew he won't play this season. The FO is just a friggin disgrace and they will ruin this team. #FIREBC #BRINGBACKSAM

Really? I swear I saw a lot of posters here saying he would play this season.
This is all a ploy to make it seem like Simmons is injured and to hide the truth.

Pretty much a lock that he'll have another surgery in May, right? Insert a pin. More rehab. Missed summer league games, then questions about him being ready for training camp. Sigh.

I'd actually put money on him trying to rehab it through the summer, then he is spotted in a boot in october followed by a press release announcing he underwent a second surgery a week prior. Out until "around" January.

There is no reason for him to play summer league whether he is healthy or not.

I love the conspiracy theorists that argue that he actually isn't unhealthy.

Anyone who thought he would play this season was obviously basing that off of clean scans. If his scans aren't clean then he never would, nor should have played.

My concern at this point is whether or not he will need a second surgery. I wasn't able to watch the press conference, but hopefully that decision is made quickly and correctly.

What were the healing differences between this scan and the last scan? That is the important stuff.

Whether or not he plays this year is irrelevant in comparison to his health in the second surgery or non second surgery scenario.

If he's healthy, which he should be, he definitely should play in summer league. Why say he can't play? He needs to get ready for the season.

"Not fully healed" is the same explanation they gave when Embiid's fracture re-opened. They love that phrase. If Simmons' leg had to be amputated I can only assume they'd say the same thing.

At what time do we start looking at canning the team physicians? Literally nobody ever heals on schedule. I don't think the abhorrently incompetent PR department can take 100% of the blame.

Wouldn't they have been replaced with each regime change? Not sure how it works, but seems odd to replace most of the other staff and not them as well.

We'll be lucky if he plays next year. I wouldn't count on it with this crack medical staff.

Should have been immediately after the Bynum fiasco.
