Re: P.J. Tucker
Loved PJ while he was here with us. He was a consistent sight for us in an otherwise tumultuous and unsuccessful last few seasons. Good luck in Toronto, hopefully they have enough places to buy nachos there.

Congrats you called it
It just seemed logical. He fits our need and 2 seconds seems like fair value for a rental that could be resigned.

I didn't like tucker last year. He was awful to start the season for us this year. He grew on me over the season and I wish him the best. I don't want to resign him.

Re: P.J. Tucker
Rarely the best player on the court but always played the hardest. He's the one guy out of all the players likely to be traded (Chandler, Knight) who I'll miss the most. He's the perfect team mate, he brings every time on the court and in practice, he's not the focal point of offense and he just makes the team play harder.
I do hope he has a good showing in the playoffs because he's deserving. I'm also happy he's with Toronto who I have a soft spot for because I have relatives and go there every few years. Ideally, I'd love to see Tucker back one day. I'm for resigning him for the right price ($8m)

Re: P.J. Tucker
sometimes it seemed like PJ was the only guy who gave a crap every single game
gonna miss him a lot but I'm happy that he gets to play in the postseason. wouldn't mind re-signing him this summer.
give 'em hell, PJ

Are you really arguing this?GotEm wrote:red96 wrote:Even if that was true, offense is valued way more around the league. How many stars in the league are defense only guys? How many of them made the all-star game or are in the running for MVP this year? I can't think of 1.
Well guys like Korver aren't running for MVP either.
As for defense only guys making All Star games, players like Luol Deng, Andre Igoudala, DeAndre Jordan, etc have all made All star games in the past in that role.
Isiah Thomas isn't like Korver though. Neither is Nash. There's different type of offense only guys.
Guys like Korver who can only shoot and not dribble/create for himself or others are rarely MVP candidates. I'm not saying guys like Tucker are either.
Either way, looks like you win. Suns bit and ended up getting less for Tucker than the Hawks got for Korver. Good job calling it, I was wrong.

Well.... that's that
More picks. May be we can draft and stash a young Euro we'll never see
(Yawn)
Pretty non exciting deadline... but wasn't expecting much after the boogie fever subsided

Re: P.J. Tucker
I always felt PJ would be really valuable for playoff teams in the East as he is someone with enough size to do a decent job on defense on LBJ.
Great pick up by Toronto to stay competitive in the East.

You either win the title or you lose. There is no prize for 2nd.

thats true but 29 team are losers. even warriors or cavs their will be a loser. its fun to watch competitive. raptors have no history and been through so many years of tanking. completely satisfed with making ECF
