That was my fav part of the game. He was giving DD pointers on post defense. Lord knows he needs it lol

ATTL wrote:PJ is going to give your team everything he has every game. He takes pride in playing hard every day and playing every single game. He rushed back from back surgery to start the year so he didn't miss any games which is why he struggled mightily early this year.
Coaches love him and can't keep him off the court, to the dismay of fans that want development time for their young players.
PJ gets away with a lot definsively, refs will allow him to hold, push, and get up in offensive players, even star players don't get many calls on him. Earlier this year he wrecked Anthony Davis and Carmelo. Those were very memorable defensive games. You guys probably remember him playing well against DD in that last game in Toronto, too.

PJ will give defensive pointers to his team mates and help them understand where they're supposed to be and funnel offensive players to stifle them.

PJ is going to make a couple eastern confereupnce teams regret not trading a first for him when he's helping the raptors beat them in the playoffs.

Honestly if you keep this up
Soon your +1's will outnumber your post count

at halftime he was also working with powell
showing how that if he wants to initiate a euro step you need to do it when you are even with the defenders chest otherwise you will just run into him for a charge

Fantastic additions to the team, very very very pleased. We HAVE to keep both.

Also, has this guy played for a winning team before? I wonder how he feels about our ruckus crowd.

It seems like something happened in the locker room at the half and Ibaka/PJ affected the whole team on D and intensity as soon as the 3rd Q started.

No, he has never played for a winning team except for you...you drafted him...can't remember if that was a winning team but he didn't last long and was the only Sun ever who played as many seasons with the Suns as he did and never made the playoffs, so of course armchair fans point that out.

Yeah the 2006-2007 Raptors made the playoffs and him and Kris Humphries were nicknamed "Hammer and Nails"
by our TV play by play guy at the time.

Sam Mitchell tried playing Tucker at PF as a rookie and he didn't play much behind Bosh. What's ironic is like the one
time he got extended playing time he was schooling Amare Stoudamire on the offensive end in Phoenix as his only
real good game as a rookie Raptor.

I guess the Suns always kept an eye on him when he was released and was playing in Europe

I'm pretty sure Tucker was already cut by the time the 06/07 team turned the corner and became good.

edit: nvm, he was still with the team, but didn't make it to the playoffs.

If he stays in Toronto... I think he can be an All-NBA Defence kinda guy. He's that good, and that intense. He does wonders when he's on the floor for us. LOVE him. He reminds me of a stronger version of Tony Allen, which is legit.

If we move up the standings he's gonna make 2nd Team NBA all defence team.

Apt comparison. I think he can defend at a high level well into his 30s. TA is doing just that right now.

I was trying to find the old Behind the NBA draft show when I remember good ol Jim Kelly made the pick...he really wanted PJ Tucker, so BC trusted him.

Dudes defense was like a larger version of Powell who can defend 1-5

He shut down IT, stripped the ball omg

Letting Tucker go would be fired worthy:P Exactly the type of player we need here for the next little bit.

Jim Kelly's vision was on point
Google "Hind Rajab"
Total Killed by Israel = 50,000+
Israel kills a child every 45 minutes and ban aid workers from bringing in baby formula
Total being starved by Israel = 500,000 -1,000,000

God damn this was an amazing pickup. It's like bringing back what Biyombo brought to the team mentally
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
