The Rangers aren't going anywhere this season, so they're going to be sellers.
But I think this deal would really benefit the Brewers. Lofton would allow the Brewers to move Hart down to a run-producing role, and Otsuka would give the Brewers help in the bullpen.
I like Gwynn, but I don't think he's really in the Brewers' plans. IMO, Matt LaPorta could be up in 2009 as the starting LF, while Hall will still be the CF and Hart will still be the RF. Thus, Gwynn will have nowhere to play.
Jenkins, well, if he stays his option for next year will be declined. We could just trade him by July 31 and get something in return.
If the Brewers do this deal, I think they'll have the divison locked-up.
