Dougie fresh shooting 0% from three in his thunder career. Hashtag cursed.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

You can already see the value that Gibson and McDermott bring to this team. McDermott is not just a younger bigger version of Morrow, he's a better scorer and has a wide variety of moves. He just has a knack for putting the ball in the rim. And you can see that Gibson is just tough as nails when it comes to protecting the paint and he spaces the floor more for our shooters.

I didn't really think he got many good looks. He'll be ok.

Looks like they had very solid 1st games.

Doug's great with his floater, mid-range J and finishing inside - if anything we wanted him to shoot more 3's because he's so good at it but doesn't get enough looks. He's dependent on his teammates getting him looks though.

Taj just plays like a man at both ends and his mid-range J is very solid.

Yeah, I was just playing. Can't wait to see a Russ/wolverine/Dougie lineup though

Gotta give Alex some love for player of the game. Played a new role tonight as a starter and delivered BIG time. Taj was as good as I thought he would be. Tenacious as hell. He and Adams could be a special frontcourt combo. Doug played ok for a first game. Kanter was rusty, but glad he is back.

Doug showed some of his versatility offensively along with some of his athletic ability (a better athlete then given credit for) and i thought defensively this game he was passable at best and caused a few turnovers. Was really showing hustle on both ends of the court and was aggressive on the boards (capable of defensive rebounds but passive on the boards at times). Once OKC figures out Doug's spot's on the court (presumably corner three's) he will thrive and succeed IMO especially with Billy Donovan who i think is a very good coach but i'd like to see him down the stretch of games with Westbrook

Gonna get straight to the point with Taj was being Taj hard work and 100% effort and never gave up on plays he was deadly in the post in addition to his really good defense.

FYI: props to you guys for having the best fans welcoming Taj and Doug like they were family

Ah well. We didn't play all that well, very sloppy, looked rusty. I take the win.

Even if it's just the Lakers, when you play sloppy and win by 17 that's a good day.

We'd have blown them off the floor if we had been focused.

Also: Good first showing by the new guys.

I'm staring to feel like Abrines is more important to hold on to than Sabonis this upcoming offseason. I'm ok with moving Vic +possibly Sabonis if we can get a true number two guy to go alongside Russ.

Sabonis has shown flashes of brilliance in the post and is a very solid defender when he isn't being called for rookie fouls. I think he'll be a very good starter down the line and would like to keep him in OKC

I think he'll be decent down the line too but we are trying to enter into win-now mode. Next year we'll have to choose between players we want to keep, can afford to keep, and who gives us the best shot to bring in win-now players. Adams and Russ are the only two guys that I think are a lock to stay. I'm not saying no one else have value. We will have to decide on if we want to keep Roberson and try to sign Taj. Then Kanter and Dipo are the two big contracts that likely need to be moved. Abrines and Sabonis are the two players that opposing teams would covet. I don't think any of these guys are untouchable. Sabonis has made some nice plays but it's been a while since he did something that flashed brilliance to me.

Yeah I tend to agree that he's not untouchable, but he should be seen as part of the future. He's cheap, and I think he's a contributor next year to winning now. If they could keep him and Taj that's my goal for the 4 spot.

Count me in the Abrines is more important than sabonis right now camp, but domas has gotten consistent minutes all year while Alex has been jerked in and out of the lineup on Billy's slightest whim.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
