i'm a couple days late on this, but damn, how about WCS going for 29-10 in his first game in the post-cousins era! i always thought he was being wasted just rotting away on Sacramento's bench. i know it's obviously only one game, but this guy has some seriously desirable skills from the C spot. he can legitimately stay in front of anyone on the floor, and that's insane to me...

Casspi waived by NO. Hes injured but if we pick him up he can heal on the bench.

Waive Hilliard.

Casspi would be nice but I don't want to cut any minutes from our wings right now, since they're playing so damn well.

He would have to make it through waivers and then sign a veteran's minimum deal with the Pistons. They're over the cap so they can't claim him. I would bet Omri goes somewhere else where there is an actual playing time opportunity available at either forward spot.

A team that desperately needs wing depth just waived him. Enough said.

Not sure who I want to win tonight.... Indiana or Miami.

6. Indiana 11 GB
7. Chicago 12 GB
8. Detroit 12 GB
--------------------
9. Miami 15 GB
10. Milwaukee 15 GB

Good news is that Chicago plays against Cleveland tonight so we should hop up to sole possession of 7th again. Although Chicago has won 3 straight so you never know.

I thought I heard a couple weeks ago that Omri and Cousins were having issues in Sacramento so that could be why he was let go, not just on court issues. We could use his shooting but I just don't see minutes for him here.

Casspi was cut because he just broke his thumb and New Orleans needs immediate depth on the wings. They're going for the 8th seed in the West. Can't wait for Omri to get healthy.

Yah he hurt himself in his first game in NO.

Just adding a 3pt specialist. Nothing special. Situational player really.

Scratch that... Lebron is out against the Bulls tonight so its hard to Imagine the Bulls winning... Cleveland is 0-3 so far this year without Lebron.

Guess I can't be too mad the Bulls got a win against a Lebron-less Cavs team considering we did too.

According to 538, there are at least 9 teams in the Eastern Conference with a 57% or greater chance at making the playoffs. I'm trying to figure out how that works...

They're putting Celtics over Rockets in win title probability so...

Celtics have a higher probability of getting to the finals so that's not surprising. We've already seen the Cavs are a Lebron injury away from being a team that gets bounced in the first round. Plus, I think Stevens is the best coach in the East.

"Ray McCallum rejoins Grand Rapids Drive after stint in NBA"
http://www.mlive.com/drive/2017/02/ray_mccallum_rejoins_grand_rap.html#incart_river_index
Looked on paper like Ray was putting up serviceable numbers in limited minutes. He gets waived so Charlotte can pursue Briante Weber.
I hope the kid keeps playing hard and continues to get opportunities.

The Celtics are an Isaiah injury away from being a lottery team so?

The Celtics with 37 wins are currently 2nd in the east, where only the Cavs have just 40 wins. The Rockets have 42 wins, only good enough for 3rd in the west. A team has to come out of its conference to the finals. If you're making odds, you have to figure Celtics have an easier road than the Rockets?

I don't see the Celtics beating Raptors, Wizards or Cavs in the Playoffs.

East is wide open with a Lebron injury.... Warriors are still the best team in the West without Kevin Durant so that's where I was going with the Lebron injury... Warriors were a historically good team that ended up adding an MVP caliber talent so I would bet that the Celtics are more likely to be in the finals than the Rockets.

If the Rockets were in the East and the Celtics in the west I'd think the Rockets would be more likely to make it to the finals.
