PG Thread (Utah) - Post all-star tank gets rolling?

I think having a point guard coach is part of the problem. He has high expectations for what the pg should do.. he started with loint giannis and then went away from it and demanded more from the pg spot.

He's a moron.. should go back to 3 and d from the pg slot and make daman sure the ball is in giannis and midds hands all the time

I just made a groundbreaking discovery: In the NBA there is a very strong correlation between winning teams and the quality of their point guard. All good teams in the league currently have an all star (or fringe all star) PG. And all great PGs play in good teams (exceptions POR and CHA since Zeller got injured). I base this discovery on the scientific method of eyeballing the current top 4 teams in each conference and drooling over their point guards, while ignoring all previous NBA seasons because I'm too lazy to do any research. That's plenty for me, I am convinced.

Conclusion: Delly and Brogdon are great role players and I like them both, but unless we somehow find/steal/draft/develop a star PG we're not getting very far as a team.

Might be some truth in this?

Yeah, need a perimeter guy that can shoot, score, handle, and make plays.

Doesn't have to be a "PG". Harden isn't. Pierce, McGrady, Kobe, Jordan, etc. It's just easier to find smaller guys with that skill set.

Doesn't matter how bad their defense is. The rules make great defense close to impossible anyway.

I'd love to have IT, Kemba, Kyrie, Lillard, etc on the Bucks right now. Pair them with Giannis, and we're good.
