“What I am hoping to prove is that I belong in this league,” Weber told me. “I know I’m not what everybody wants but I know what I bring to the table. So me being me, I’m going to continue to be persistent in my journey while I hold my head high and give my all for whoever gives me the chance.”

“I look forward to bringing maximum energy to this team,” Weber said. “I’m going to do whatever this team needs for us to win. I will bring some grit, toughness and a pitbull mentality to this team.”

“It was actually a tough decision,” Weber told DIME about the interest of other teams. “I had received three calls from teams prior to signing with the Warriors. So I had to discuss the opportunity with my mother and teammates to determine what situation would be best. Once I made the decision to sign with the Warriors, I was extremely happy.”

“After I was waived, Steph said ‘you and I both know you belong in this league,’” Weber said. “He said ‘continue to be yourself and go be great.’ Lastly, he told me to say what’s up to his dad.”

I hope he gets a chance to play and is good. If this is the same guy that was with the Heat in the playoffs, I couldn't stand him dancing around on the bench.

So he should help fix some of the finesse (bitchassness) problems from the second unit, should Cliff ever deem it necessary to play Kemba anything less than 52 minutes a night.

Still gonna have issues with scoring in that second unit unless Cody comes back and pushes Frank back to the second squad.

He also has a good name, so that's half the battle I guess

He's like Patrick Beverly, but likeable. I hope he works out for you guys, seems like a great teammate. Wish we kept him instead of signing a washed up Calderon.

He's no "Cat Barber", but way better than the create-a-player name of "Brian Roberts".

He only averaged 8ppg as a senior at VCU, but averaged 3.9 steals? Nuts.

Look at his teammates on the bench.

The best response is a solid golf clap.

VCU pipeline - Troy Daniels, Traveon Graham, Briante Weber, Jamie Skeen (summer league). Now we just need to find Eric Maynor and give him some minutes.

Cho tryna keep his job. Good acquisition. Hopefully Clifford let him play. The Wood signing seem good. The Plumlee deal was a act of desperation but it never would've went that far if Clifford would've gave Wood a shot.

You mean he didn't play a rookie UDFA who probably didn't know the names of at least half of the guys on his team, hadn't had a single practice, and was on the team a total of like 8 hours before the game? Another fireable offense for sure.

He may be on his first Hornets 10 day contract but it isn't his first. He couldn't be worse than Roberts in 10 minutes.

He met Cliff for the first time today. This is not a guy with any appreciable NBA experience.

For someone who is being so objective in defending the refs in the GT you sure are being the opposite in here.

Nobody want to see us get a better backup PG more than I do, but dude, you're just complaining to be complaining at this point. Roberts was +15 in his minutes today, hardly why we lost. Weber just signed a few hours before the game. He was never going to play today. Seems a bit ridiculous to use this specific incident as a reason to complain about Clifford. I don't even think Weber was active for the game.

He was on the Heat last season and just left the Warriors. I'm sure he can handle about anything that is thrown at him. McCallum was here three weeks and never saw the light of day.

Cat Barber is the perfect backup to Kemba for us, but Weber is still a good pickup. Hopefully he'll help mitigate the turnstile bench defense.
