If you take Isaac might as well double down with Ntilikina. Become the Bucks of the West.

Young core:

Ntilikina
Hield/Bogdonavic
Isaac/ Richardson
Skal
Cauley-Stein/Papagiannis

Beautiful. Ntilikina is going to be a multiple time all-star. If this draft wasn't so deep, particularly with US talent... He'd be much more sought after. Has all the tools. All the tools that tells me he'll translate fantastic in the NBA

Elite positional height and wingspan (PG)
Enough size (Rumor has it he might even be 6-5 barefoot which is taller than MJ/Kobe) to play both guard positions
Shooting ability... Shown he can light it up from deep, as well as off the dribble
Pass first mentality/Knows how to find the open man
Ball handling looks positive

I'm very high on this guy.. Last time an international talent had tools like this it was Giannis.

Banking on our NOP pick getting 4-7

Feel like things will fall our way. Just got a feeling. NBA is going to reward us for trading big talent.

I'm curious what you see in Fox that makes you think he's a great prospect. I keep reading about Kings fans loving Fox, and I'm not seeing it in him at all.

All I see is a supreme athlete that's big for the position and can pass, but can't shoot to save his life and can't score outside the paint. The NBA is chock full of PG prospects that were touted for their athleticism but couldn't shoot that end up stuck on the end of the bench.

Great length for the PG spot, solid in transition, excellent court vision and a solid defender, good hands. He's a true PG in my opinion that has great defensive potential especially. I like Monk but I don't think he will be able to play the point in the NBA, he just doesn't have the handle or passing ability to run an offense.

He's young enough to still improve his shooting. In my opinion, shooting is one of the easier skills to improve in the league, a lot more difficult to improve ball handling and vision. I'm just a sucker for defensive, pass first point guards and I think he could be one of the best in the league at the position in those areas.

Sixers and Knicks going full tank helps both of our picks.

Knock on wood hope this year and it's draft finally works in our favor .
That said right now with the Philly swap - Chicago top 10 protected we are tied for the 12th pick . Nola has slipped to the 7th spot I believe but we can only hope that we don't get screwed via luck and they get the 4th pick -9th . Their is no guarantee we will even get a pick .
We need to root for teams above us to win as well as teams below us even if that includes Phily . Our main goal if wanting the best chance at keeping both picks is to have the 7th worst record or below and that will be hard as at least 5-6 teams are almost guaranteed to finish with worst records no matter what . Nets , Suns , Lakers . Likely Orl & Minny ( Minny has 23 games remaining of that they have only 8 home games remaining versus 15 away games they will be hard to get a worst record than ) Phily will be tough that their alone is 6 teams . Nola , Dallas , Portland , NY , all have worst records also and of them Dallas is the only team playing decent .
Char is tied with us . We are only 1 game behind Denver . Bucks & Heats records are not that much above us .

All this being said we are not looking good right now to get our top 10 pick . Reality is if we want to keep that pick we must lost a lot of games and have many of the other teams win a lot more . I would rather get to have both our # 1 picks . If we are not getting to keep our top 10 protected than I would rather make the playoffs than get the 11th -14th lotto as that will do us no good .

BY the way neither of the 76ers or knicks going full tank helps us at this point .

Knicks still have Carmelo and Porzingis, but the tank commander Rose is still there, so it's difficult to see that they are going to win less games then us.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Our records are close . Melo & Porz ? Who cares if you have great players and still lose then it does not matter if they are great or not . We had Cuz for almost 7 years and still lost all the time and he is a top 10 NBA players as a player forget attitude etc.
I am more concerned about the teams with worst records more .But still concerned with the ones between only a half game - 3 games better than us as everyone should be .

Carmelo literally by himself won a game two days ago for the Knicks, the fans are angry about that to him lmao

Yah any 1 player can be a game changer on any given night .
On the flip side any 1 player can also be the main cause for a team losing if they turn the ball over to much etc.
If you are focusing only on the Knicks you are looking at the situation to get our top 10 pick wrong .
Also Knicks cut Jennings and now they are likely cutting Rose so they are trying to tank .

I know some guys who are finally getting playing time are playing real well but let's be honest with the current roster there should be alot of losses coming. I honestly don't think keeping the pick is gonna be an issue by the end of the year

You're right about the Knicks, for whatever reason I thought they were bottom 4. However in regards to the sixers, best case is they get 1st pick and Kings get 2nd pick, so I'll root for the 76ers to lose every game from here on out.

What I am trying to get you to understand is that if we were 1 of the teams at the low end of the worst records then yes 76ers losing more than us would be great !
However again we are currently tied with the 12th worst record . The point is we need either way to have about the 7th worst record to assure is a top 10 pick . So it does not matter if the 76ers have a better record than us . The bottom line is getting a guarantee of the 7th worst record or below that .
You see if we are having the 8th worst record or above that we risk losing the 10th and below so in that case who cares if the 76ers have a better record or above . In that case we keep our pick and worst case we swap a spot or 2 with the 76ers . If we are 8th or way above like now we risk losing the pick . You should want the 76ers to win right now just the same with all teams below us within range to pass us as well as the teams slightly above us . Every team that starts winning and passes us via record is good for us .

1 more example : Say we had the 4th worst record & the 76ers had the 2nd worst record then yes them losing more than us would be a great thing . In this case trying to get a guarantee of keeping our top 10 protected means it does not matter what teams pass us including the 76ers as long as we are assured our top 10 pick and that means having the 7th worst record or below that's the bottom line.
Today teams to root for are 76ers , Knicks , BUCKS , DALLAS & MINN . If you are rooting to keep our to 10 protected pick .

Man I couldn't disagree more. Can you name me some examples of some PGs that were as bad shooting the ball as Fox is in college but became good shooters in the NBA?

Kyle Lowry shot 42% from the field and 22% from 3 his freshman year, only took 18 3Pt attempts his sophomore year and was shooting under 30% from three his first few years in the league. Reggie Jackson shot 44% from the field and 27% from 3 his freshman year and was also a sub 30% shooter from deep his first few years in the league but is shooting 36% from deep this year and has seen his percentage increase each season.

Outside of PGs you also see a lot of guys improve their shooting. Ibaka, Kawhi, etc. Obviously not everyone does, but if you work on it it's easier to improve then ballhandling or vision in my opinion. Those are skills that tend to be more natural, especially vision.

Outside of PGs you also see a lot of guys improve their shooting. Ibaka, Kawhi, etc. Obviously not everyone does, but if you work on it it's easier to improve then ballhandling or vision in my opinion. Those are skills that tend to be more natural, especially vision.

One off

How many guys who weren't lead guards in college have successfully transitioned to lead guards in the NBA?

Oh I understand what you're saying but I'm not as worried about it as you are. Tank sixers, tank.

I am not overly worried as you say . I am just confused as to why your only concern is the 76ers . Even if they door poorly and we get higher than the 10th pick we still lose our own pick . Unless you are also a 76ers fan . What your rooting for does not make any sense .
