He's a defender -- the backcourt defender this team has sorely lacked for years now. If the only thing he does is dig in to Russell and Clarkson during practice, this is a good signing. I wanted Weber, but he'll do.

Don't know much about this guy. Seems like a 6'4 hustle guy. Here's some posts about him:

Seems like the new front office staffs' priority has been adding backcourt and wing defense wherever they can. Brewer, Ennis (not a great defender but definitely an upgrade from Huertas), and now Nwaba.

Magic is doing what he said, adding guys to this team who bring something different to the table. Russell and Clarkson have always needed to be surrounded by guys who are defensive pit bull/hustle types.

Not bad. Worst case scenario these guys will be forced to work harder in practice. They won't have the privilege of being able to just walk by Huertas, and Calderon during scrimmages anymore.

Nearly seven feet (6'11.5). About as long as Randle's but at 6'4.

Think I read 6'11.5 wingspan somewhere.

EDIT: NVM... ALL HAIL beat me to it.

This team has been in dire need of defensive role players in the backcourt. Glad to see the front office is seeing the obvious. Kupchak & Co., I'm convinced, had blinders on.

Now, please sit Nick Young and let's see how Clarkson and Russell respond to the extra offensive load while playing alongside pure defensive guards.

This, to me, is imperative to see if either of them should be in the long term plans. They've got to see what they've got, finally, without the distractions of Lou Williams and Nick Young, two guys who had no business ever being on this roster to begin with.

Please Magic, send Walton the memo -- bench Young and let's finally see Russell next to a backcourt mate that is his foil.

Little weird he does not take shots outside of the paint AT ALL. God, at least Tony Allen attempts them.

Yeah, I'm so cool with that though. His lack of shooting merely etches out and more clearly defines Russell and Clarkson's role as primary offensive options when they're on the floor with Nwaba.

Like I said before though, even if he doesn't see the floor though for significant minutes, he'll provide good enough value in praftice checking and challenging our "primadonna pretty boys".

He tried out for the Defensers this past summer , made it, and now is a Los Angeles Laker.

Good to see Mr. Dunk make it to the Laker's roster. Hope he impresses and sticks.

Magic is really adding pieces that are younger, more athletic and ones that play sound defense. So many fans were afraid that Magic would be another Phil Jackson but I think we can rest assure that he is doing the right things for the team now.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!
