Jennings or Rose?

Post#1 » by DetroitPistons » Mon Feb 27, 2017 9:35 pm

Jennings just got waived and apparently Rose might get waived too. Should we go after one of them? I loved Jennings when he was here and Rose is still averaging 17.6 on 46% shooting. Either one would make us better I think.

Jennings has requested to be traded to a "contending" team.

Derrick Rose is this: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18445112/new-york-knicks-derrick-rose-returns-team-going-awol

How many more mentals do the Pistons need?

Jennings was officially cut, so his requests don't really matter. I'm sure someone will snap him up as a bench gunner. I think that ship has sailed for the pistons though.

Can't see Rose getting waived, but I can't see him coming here and I'm pretty sure he's never going to be a star again.

It's a shame what happened to Rose, but like Billl said, he's never going to be a star again. And yes, Jennings is gone - let's not bring him back and confuse everyone.

If you wanted to dump salary, Rose would have been a good option last week. I'm still hoping RJ will get healthy and Get Smart :-)

Neither unless Jackson is shut down for the year. Otherwise it wouldn't make much sense. Reggie and Ish are getting all of the minutes at point guard.

I'd take Jennings back with open arms. Shut down Reggie for the rest of the year.

I'll always appreciate Brandon Jennings here. Love him so much. I think a lot of the guys did too.

Tobias Harris is a good basketball player, and 2011-12 Derrick Rose was certainly more impactful than Tobias.

I think you like to just say controversial things  .This current version of rose? No. MVP season rose was on the comeup to superstardom. I don't think he deserved MVP that year but he was still awesome. To say he was "never a good basketball player?" Well that's just wrong.

He never made his teammates better and he's always been awful defensively, he put up some nice scoring stats that year but even then I was pointing out how awful he was. He never came close to Iversons level and I wasn't a fan of his either.

I love to be controversial by the way but rarely do I post things I don't actually believe just for kicks, once in a while I just have to though lol.

Yeah I agree, Dwight was hands down the MVP that year & he was robbed in my opinion, I remember a lot of people on RealGM feeling the same way at the time.

Some knees just aren't able to take the punishment

Coaches & trainers push guys to be ever more explosive and then BOOM out goes the knee
