Agreed, right now Barnes should be our starting SF, Dirk PF, and Noel C. But Rick is too stubborn to do so as he's infatuated with the 6'5'' and under club, no matter how much a detriment it is to the glass and defense.

I know it won't happen, but if we could get Ball or Fultz, wow what a future this team could have. I'd be fine signing a banger/dirty work type PF then to play in between Barnes and Noel when Dirk rests.

^the banger type needs to have 3pt range also. Don't want to kill the spacing and look like The Pelicans but with worse scorers

If we could find a 7 foot PF who can pull 8-9 boards a game, hit almost 90% from the free throw line, and hit 40% from the three point line, we could be unstoppable.

Lol. That would be awesome.

When is Dirk's kid eligible for the draft?

Markkanen perfectly fits that bill but there's little to no chance that we'll be able to draft him. We'll have to shift our attention over to the 12-14 range I'm afraid. They'll attempt to make the same type of run like they did in the glorious Chris Kaman/OJ Mayo-season.

Dallas will probably have to look at Hartenstein rather than Markkanen if they keep winning like this if they want a PF/C. Maybe one of those good PG will fall a bit.

Mavs could also look at trading down in the draft to select TJ Leaf. Anyone have thoughts on him? From a very small sample size he seems to me like Chandler Parsons offensively with much better rebounding skills.

I am still sticking with my original stance, and that is to draft absolutely best player available. Even if it is another center, Dallas has enough flexible parts that they can fit anyone in. Dallas should improve PG, and could improve at SG\SF\PF, and Barnes\Noel are flexible enough to slide around between SF\PF\C if that player is a big. #BestAvailable

Can Monk play any PG or is he strictly a shooting guard?

When is Dirk's kid eligible for the draft?

A big German fellow is ready for draft. His name is Isaiah Hartenstein, 6-11 versatile big. He's not as explosive as Dirk but he's much stronger and has developed some posts move. And he's good range and nice handle. I'd pick him over some overhyped 7-footers. He seems to be a good pair with Noel and he seems to be able to learn a lot from Dirk.

And look out, injury-prone Dennis Smith may fall to our draft choice. He's supposed to be really good PG despite injury concerns.

Really only wanted Ball (first and foremost), Fultz, or Jackson, but looking like we played ourselves out of those possibilities.

Settling in on Jonathan Isaac, SF Florida State on the pick that I'm hoping for.

Size sticks out as a glaring need going forward. We've been going REALLY small lately: 6'0", 6'2", 6'5", and 6'8" at the 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively. That's just not realistic for a playoff team.

Isaac is a 6'11" small forward with a 7'1" wingspan. He should be able to get some PT early on based purely on his size and athleticism in mismatches. His shooting line of 53-38-80 projects pretty well for development in the NBA.

Tatum is really starting to impress me but I doubt he'll slip to us.
Could be a nice replacement for Wes.

Please no Hartenstein....I'd rather have Leaf if we're going there but if Patton or Allen are there I'd take one of them over Leaf.

IDK if anyone has noticed but we need a bruiser on this team....seems every one of our guys are thin.

Jordan McRae's waived. Please waive Cook to sign him. He's the big combo guard, 6-6 PG/SG, we are looking for. It looks like we trade Bogut and DWill for him.

We don't need to bother with McRae. I'd rather feed Brussino minutes.
