Live TV streaming from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, regional sports networks and dozens of popular cable networks. YouTube TV gives you the best of live TV, from must-see broadcast shows like “Empire,” “The Voice,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Scandal,” to the live sports you want. YouTube TV includes major sports networks like ESPN and regional sports networks like Fox Sports Networks and Comcast SportsNet, so you can watch your favorite NBA or MLB teams. We’ve also partnered with local TV stations, so you’ll also get sports and local news based on where you live. And YouTube TV offers dozens of additional cable channels, so you won’t miss out on the latest news from MSNBC or Fox News, popular shows and movies from USA or FX, kids programming from the Disney Channel or Sprout, or reality TV from E! or Bravo. You can also add Showtime, or Fox Soccer Plus to your networks for an additional charge. In total, YouTube TV gives you access to more than 40 networks, listed below.

Very compelling, but no answer on FSNWI, and no Viacom networks are a pretty significant omission.

Says it includes RSNs.

Well, PS Vue says they offer RSNs as well, but they only offer Fox Sports North, not Fox Sports WI. Need clarification on that from YT.

Ahh interesting.

All these services still come in at a price point that doesn't really work for me. I pay $100 for cable and TV. The second I cancel TV they'll charge me $60+ for internet. Add a streaming streaming TV service and I'm right back where I was, but with lag and fewer channels.

For me, it would be significantly cheaper to switch to something like PSVue for $65 a month instead of paying over $100 a month for U-Verse. But there isn't a streaming service, as of yet, that has all of my absolute necessities - DVR, network television, all of the basic cable channels and all of the sports channels I regularly watch (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, FS1, BTN, NBC Sports, beIN sports, and FSWI), and HBO.

PS Vue's top tier package comes the closest, but its missing network TV and FSWI - which I can work-around through other feeds like my antenna for network TV and FSGO for FSWI, but then I don't get a DVR to go with it.

Is that worth the premium I'm paying? I'm starting to question that.

hr, I'd honestly recommend giving PS Vue a shot. I remember 3 years ago I dropped cable entirely, despite a serious sports addiction. I basically got so sick of Charter that I canceled them on whim. This is well before Sling and the other OTT options came to market too. Something I noticed while waiting for OTT to become a reality is that I didn't NEED to watch tv as much as I was. I was just in the habit of watching a ton of TV because I always had since college. Once I cut the cord I realized all of the other hobbies I enjoyed just as much as watching shows/sports/news but I never got around to because I would get home from work and immediately turn on the TV. Now, I'm not advocating getting rid of TV all together (I watch a good amount on Vue currently), but it is kind of a liberating experience to limit your TV options. Even now I find myself occasionally going an entire work week without turning on my tv.

Google is a good start, at least it has DVR service. FSNWI though is something I need. And some of the other missing networks. But it's a damn good start.

Seriously, who do you guys get internet from that any of these services are worth it over simply getting a cable package?

I'm interested too. I agree, the Internet thing is a real deal breaker for me. And with AT&T I think they cap your Internet if don't have UVERSE or Directv so that is problem too if you plan to stream everything.

Yea a lot of proposals I've seen mention using other people's cable logins.. but someone is still paying for cable.

If you're a sports watcher, I don't think there's any amazing option for cord cutting yet. You can save a little money, but nothing mind blowing. I didn't like sling at all either. My internet is reliable as it comes and that was such a laggy experience.

I guess if you're paying $200+ a year for cable it might be worth looking into, but there's deals to be had with Spectrum if you call them annually to keep your bill down.

Right. It was one thing when you could get cable-internet for under or around $30. Now Spectrum's lowest offer is $45 before taxes, and that's only for new subscribers. Otherwise you're paying over $60 for their base internet package.

These companies aren't stupid and I'm sure they know exactly what to charge to entice the cord cutters that still want live TV.

Meh. After the first year, U200 package with internet went to $185. Every month we'd call ATT and and wait 45 minutes to speak with 3 different people you can't understand. Without fail, they'd eventually say they'd only charge $125. Every month the bill came at 185. Call back and there is no record. Repeat x 8 months. Completely ridiculous company. We canceled earlier this month when we noticed on the bottom of the bill we could break any contract without penalty. Felt great. Honestly, the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

Got the Spectrum internet (50 after taxes) and the 35 dollar PSVue. That's 100 less per month than ATT. Minus initial start cost for Roku and an antenna (I think 70 dollars total), that's more than 1,100 post-tax dollars this year. Plus, no dealing with ATT's ****. I'm sure Spectrum will dick us around next year, but we'll deal with it then.

It's far from a perfect viewing experience, but the savings and spiting ATT was more than worth it to me.

I was also looking into cutting the cord but all I watch is sports and my wife HBO showtime. I did the research and if I cut the cord id save about 30 bucks a month but I can't find a way to stream fs WI with out borrowing a password. Plus you need to have a chrome cast fire TV htpc for each TV. We dvr a lot too so that's anither issue. I pay 170 a month for the highest Internet package and users u450 with dvr for 4 tvs. I prefer the convenience and saving only 20 to 30 a month isn't worth it to me. I call every year to u verse and renew my plan and haven't paid more than 170.

That's really the only reason I got TV in the first place. FS-WI was dicking around the Bucks coverage on the app early in the season and I didn't want to miss games so I said screw it and got Charter TV. Later on I found out the problem had been fixed but I never cancelled. I'll be doing it soon.

Midranger, yea, the price you get for switching makes it worth it. But if you're a long time customer you're screwed. That sweet entry price you got isn't gonna last.

ETA: Oh, but yea, it's still gonna be way less than what you were paying before so you probably don't care.

Currently paying $47 for TW internet, $16 for Sling TV (tmobile discount) and then we switch back and forth HBO & Showtime $12. So about $75/month and I get all the Bucks/Brewers games, all the good cable channels (minus ESPN) and HBO or Showtime. I've looked around and nothing can beat that for my needs. Sling TV has been flawless for 6 months now, just get a Roku 3+ and hard wire it to your router and we've had 0 problems.

Some day an ala carte package will be offered. A 20 for $20 or something like that (Czaban was just talking about that). There's been resistance but that day will come.
